Hi support,
After trying many CSS combinations I finally found a way to have it work :)
It’s probably not very “clean”, but it works.

I worked again on this during the week-end and ended up on finding a decent work-around with Simple Membership plugin.

What I’m actually trying to achieve is to have a colored band with logo and text that would go from the side bar to the end of the screen.
I indicated what I meant with the purple arrows this print screen:

Sure!

There you go:
The version with 2 color sections and that makes the sidebar fall at the bottom:

The version with only 1 color section, everything is in place… but I’d like very much have another color section in the middle of the page :)

Thanks, that helped on the design!
Now, the last thing I want to achieve is to remove from sidebar nav all the parent items:

In other words:
Médecine générale << level 1 item (parent) – I want to REMOVE
Nos médecins << level 2 item – I want to KEEP
Médecine familiale << level 2 item – I want to KEEP
Prélèvements sanguins << level 2 item – I want to KEEP
Soins infirmiers << level 2 item – I want to KEEP
Soins à domicile << level 2 item – I want to KEEP
Urgences sur rendez‑vous << level 2 item – I want to KEEP
Vaccination << level 2 item – I want to KEEP
Services complémentaires << level 1 item – I want to REMOVE
