Thanks much Andy, your code worked great. Also, adding this CSS code to the enfold child ‘style.css’ file suddenly works as well. You can close this ticket now, great support as always.
Hi, here is a screenshot for the elements I talked about: http://postimg.org/image/ixwgzpiq3/
Your CSS code positions the caption the way I want it only if I place the text in the second box titled “Caption Text”. It doesn’t work for text placed in the first box titled “Caption Title”. But the “caption title” box is more important because of SEO value.Also, when that particular CSS code is added to the enfold child style.css file, it didn’t work for some reason, it only works if I add it to the ‘Quick CSS’ box.
I attached login credentials.
Hi, I added the following CSS code to the enfold child style.css file, and it didn’t work. It only works if I add it to the ‘Quick CSS’ box :
.avia-caption-content.av_inherit_color {
position: relative!important;
top: 400px!important; }Finally also please, this CSS code only works (in ‘Quick CSS’ box) for the caption under “Caption Text”, and not for the caption under “Caption Title” in the fullscreen slider caption options. I would like it to work for the caption under “caption title” also because the text there has much more SEO value.
Another quick question, I added this CSS code to the ‘quick CSS’ box and it worked great. However, when I removed it from the ‘quick CSS’ box and added it to the Enfold child style.css file, it stopped working. Why is that?
Thanks a lot, but this CSS code only works for the caption under “Caption Text”, and not for the caption under “Caption Title” in the fullscreen slider. I would like it to work for the text under the “caption title” because the text there has more SEO value.
Hi, thanks for your response. You will find the URL is the private section.
Thanks for your reply.
February 13, 2016 at 7:28 am in reply to: How to make the size of image cells inside columns the same #582633Thank you for your response, I finally achieved what I wanted using part of your code only.
The original code didn’t change anything : .custom-class .avia-image-container { max-height: 180px!important; }
But when I deleted the first part of the code, it worked : .avia-image-container { max-height: 180px!important; }
Regards.Hi kmac,
Try this CSS, it worked for me :
#top .av-subnav-menu a {
font-size: 14px; }Found it at this ticket : https://kriesi.at/support/topic/fullwidth-submenu-color-customization/
February 11, 2016 at 8:40 am in reply to: How to make the size of image cells inside columns the same #581489Hello, thank you for your support. I still would like to get the CSS code to make the cells a specific height, it’s OK if the images get distorted.
Hi, I don’t know the HTML code for the flags language bar, can you supply it to me or do I have to hire someone?
Hi, thanks for your reply. Here is a mockup of what I want http://postimg.org/image/ey4kpskrj/ But I would like to add more flags (not just 2 as in the mockup), like this bar http://postimg.org/image/vn60lphcv/
My under construction website URL is in the private reply, thank you.Thank you for your reply. I now understand that I can copy the header.php file from the parent theme to the child theme. However, when I tried to follow the instructions in the old post by Yigit (referenced in my original post), I couldn’t because obviously some theme code has changed since 2013 (date of Yigit’s post). For example, he said “In your WordPress directory go to Choices folder and open Header.php file and search for “display the themes social media icons” “. There is no such phrase currently in the header.php file.
So please let me know how to add a language bar flags in the header area in the present day Enfold theme.Thank you very much Yigit, it worked.
Thank you very much for your really great support , Enfold is really the best.
Thank you for your reply Yigit. I did add the additional CSS code that’s in your latest message, but nothing has changed, the buttons are still too wide, just like in the screenshot above (I cleared the phone browser history before testing as well).
Thanks Vinay for your help. You’re right, it’s fixed now on mobile devices only (which is fine since the client doesn’t mind the issue on desktops). However, anyway we can make the buttons less wide? They are taking almost the whole width of the screen now.
Hi, thanks Yigit for your support. I added your code but there was no change, it didn’t work.
I have attached login credentials to my staging site in case you need to try new CSS there.- This reply was modified 8 years, 10 months ago by amrman0.
Hello touch2be,
I ended up not implementing the search functionality because of two reasons.
1. The use of real estate plugins with any theme (such as Enfold) to achieve a search functionality, will make the search result pages look totally different than the theme pages, it’s almost impossible in my opinion to make these results pages have the same design and look of the original theme.
2. The search functionality was not needed that much in my client’s case because of the small number of properties on the site, since the client is working in a niche real estate sector. I used instead the menu items to focus the property search somewhat.
In my opinion, if a search function is necessary, you must use a reliable theme with this function already built in.
Here is my site: Mehanna.com Good luck.Thanks Andy, please close this ticket.
Hi!
The issue I’m writing about for 20 days now is very simple and clear, I don’t understand why I’m being asked for screenshots to explain it? I don’t know how to take screenshots of my mobile.
Again, I simply want the mobile menu sub-menu links to be hidden until I click on the parent link, that is it.
The best answer I got so far from support is this : Navigate to Dashboard > Enfold > Header > Mobile Menu and make sure the “Hide mobile menu sub-menu items” option is checked.The problem is that my layout doesn’t have a header option that is editable, I’m attaching a screenshot of that fact. http://93e.549.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/1.png
Thanks.
I have a lot of respect for Enfold support, but I’m very disappointed with the quality of support for this ticket. You keep repeating a solution that is not possible over and over. Again, the solution that Andy is suggesting in not possible because the menu option mentioned is grayed out as I have no headers in my layout. My main menu is on the left, not a the top.
And please don’t suggest again the solution in reply #529153 above as it doesn’t work either. My site login credentials are included in private if you need it.Hi, in the mobile menu, I want the sub menu links to be hidden until I touch the main menu items.
Sorry about that Andy, new login data is attached.
Hi Yigit, thank you for your reply. I tried what you said but it didn’t work. I’ve created a temp admin login. Thanks.
Thanks Yigit, your code worked. Unfortunately, my client didn’t like the main menu on top, so I had to revert the main menu to its original location on the left. Now, the main issue of this ticket still needs to be solved please. I would like to prevent the mobile menu from displaying like a mega menu. Meaning that I want the sub-menu items to show only when I touch the main menu items. Elliott had told me in his first reply above to “Navigate to Dashboard > Enfold > Header > Mobile Menu and make sure the “Hide mobile menu submenu items” option is checked”. The problem now is that the header menu in Enfold is not available because I’m using a left side main menu, there is no header on my website now. Any fix? Thanks.
Hi Elliott, no it didn’t work. This CSS actually reverted the mobile menu to its original state where all menu items in all levels have small arrows (bullets) before the text. Like I said in my last message, this next CSS code that I found in the archives worked except for the child menu items : #mobile-advanced li > a:before, .html_header_mobile_behavior #mobile-advanced span > a:before, #mobile-advanced .menu_title:before { display: none; }
Thank you.
Thanks Ismael, that worked out well enough. The only thing remaining now is what I mentioned before in this ticket, how to make the bullets before the text disappear on the mobile menu items. I searched in the archives, and the following CSS code worked somewhat, it made the bullets disappear on the main menu items, but not the child menu item, but it made them disappear again on the grandchild menu items! So the code skipped a generation for some reason. It’s not a huge issue but any fix?
#mobile-advanced li > a:before, .html_header_mobile_behavior #mobile-advanced span > a:before, #mobile-advanced .menu_title:before { display: none; }
Thanks again.
Hello again,
Unfortunately, I just discovered that there is a problem now that I changed the layout from a left side main menu one to a top main menu one. The fullscreen slider images get cropped now when the menu is in top for some reason. Here are examples of the same page with the menu on the left side, and with the menu on top: http://mehanna.com/investment-projects/ http://ed3.6e0.myftpupload.com/investment-projects/ You can see that the images are badly cropped when the menu is on top. Please let me know how can the images show up without getting cropped when the menu is on top, as I prefer the menu on top layout much more, and this layout will also solve the mobile menu original issue. Thanks a lot.
Thanks Elliott,
My site had a left side main menu, so the header options were grayed out. But I went ahead and made the menu at the top instead of the left, and now I can control the header options. So, I applied the option you suggested and the result was what I was looking for. There is just one small thing remaining please, how can I hide the small arrows to the left of the text of each menu item, if that’s possible? -
