in reply to: How to point existing .mo-files of ENFOLD to WPML? #419800

    Hey!
Right! I mean so : scheme I mean as Theme Options in “Enfold” menu of WordPress.
But I do not understand how to “you’d only need to save them in each language and that would be it”
You men I have to put language files of theme from one directory to another? Where from and where, please?
Or you mean that I hawe to use CodeStyling Localization plagin? Yes, I do generate .mo file from Enfold v3.1.2 file: lang/ru_RU.po to Textdomain: avia_frmework – but result is nothing. May be I have to copy .mo to another directory.
Whether there is a theme documentation with some instructions for me how to set up the theme localization with WPML?
Please tell me what am I doing wrong?

    Best regards,
    Alex

PS. Thanks a lot for Codeable link.

..I’m trying to understand the following:
    1. whether the scheme (front-end and back-end) will be transferred to my site into other languages by changing the language of administration by switch? Or everything will be the same as with the Russian language – nothing after swittching?
In this case, my friends will not be able to work.
    2. Can I fix the above in future, without loss of multilingual content of site, that I’m going to create.
    3. It can be setup above WPML multilanguage part of your offer online sales: Install & setup with Envato Studio for $ 50? It would be excellent for me!
    Thank U!

Hello, Josue! Thank you for your time.
It may be so – switcher probably is really working, but I still do not dig how to russify interface.
This is not problem for now. I can read English. In case if this problem will be solved by your team in the nearest time – it’s OK for me.
Mean I can start to put content into my site.
But In the nearest future this problem will come back to me. I’m expect a moment when I’ll have some new administrators on my site for Italian and France languager (I dont know it at all, an they do not know English could you imagine this situation).
And how do you think now: can I put a content, or have to solve interface translation problem before?
Can I solve interface translation problem to Russian, English, Italian and France, when I’ll have a lot of multilangual content in a base?
Thank you in advance. What’ll be your advise?
    Thank you.

I downloaded the enfold theme po file, ru_RU.po, from your ftp and I discovered the problem.
The translation in .po / .mo file is not complete and misses all the backend strings. This is why you see all the Enfold options only in English.
    You have these options:
You can ask the theme author if he has a more complete .mo file with all the backend string translated.
    – You can translate the missing strings with Codestyling’ plugin or Poedit.
    – You can use the Chrome browser that has an instant page translation feature.
    Now for the good news:
    – The frontend strings are translated so your visitors will see a completely translated website.
    – Your theme is WPML compatible and this means that you can have different theme settings based on language (a different logo or favicon for English and Russian visitors, for example).
To change the backend admin language just go to: ‘Users -> Your profile’ and ‘Select your language’
If you need something else please let me know.
