I set [gallery size="medium" link="file" columns="4" ids="677,678,679,680"] and in WordPress admin panel, under Settings > Media, I set 300×300 px as medium size, but images are always very small, also if I set large size :( why?

Yes thats possible. the theme uses the prettyphoto lightbox plugin which allows social sharing buttons in the lightbox. this can be activated with a smple code change that we can provide if you need it ;)
