Ok, tried that still didn’t work. I’ll put my login credentials in the private area. I am just trying to change the color of the text to test the css since I’ve never had the child theme working. This would just be a temporary change.
Thanks for the reply. I tried going directly to the CSS file based on this path that you indicated in your response: http://www.your-site.com/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/style.css and when I replaced your-site.com with my site (web-stein.net) the CSS file showed exactly as I have it in Dreamweaver and how it appears in the file manager of my host. I cleared the cache and that didn’t help. I don’t know what the next steps are. I’ve been working on this issue for days by myself and with your support staff and no progress. If you need access to my admin WordPress account I can supply the details privately if you think that would help. Please let me know and the sooner the better.
Yes, and I have been able to connect now. Unfortunately, with the exception of one time, my changes to the child theme are not taking effect. I have checked my server’s file manager and that does show the changes I make in Dreamweaver. I’m using the child theme from the downloaded Enfold theme so I’m not sure what’s going on. Also, the one time the changes made to the child theme took effect, there was at least a several hour delay before I saw the changes. Also, the change I saw reflected an older change I made, not what was on the stylesheet at the time.
Hi Victoria,
Thanks for the response. Do you know what permissions need to be changed? I’ve contacted my hosting provider and they don’t seem to know why I can’t connect. Thanks.
