Maybe I am misunderstanding something about how this works, but when I go to settings, general, site url still has http//wordpress.kirkofkildaire.org and I can’t change that. Also, once I move off the homepage, the url has wordpress in it.
I’m trying to get the whole site to be http//kirkofkildaire.org/whatever not http//wordpress.kirkofkildaire.org/whatever
another subject: what’s the best way to backup the theme options? Someone hit reset options accidentally and we had to remember exactly how we had set everything up.
Thank you both for your feedback. Yigit, I did work search into header per your instructions. Thank you!
I fixed it using the same menu break class–hadn’t thought of it.
Just realized that the changes I made to support breaks in the main menu probably require some changes to my submenu (not sure that’s the right term, but the sub items that appear when you rollover the main menu items.) The spacing is off. If you look at the items under Worship, which is the only place it appears, you will see what I mean. Worship is the only area that has wrap around sub items, so I think it’s related to that. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
I figured out the menu height from another post using
.main_menu ul:first-child > li a {
height: 37px !important;
line-height: 20px !important;
}But would still appreciate whether using the @media only screen without limiting the device widths will cause a problem.
I am using the suggestions above, and they seem to work except for my wide screen laptop.
So I am using
@media only screen{
position: inherit !important;
}
}which seems to fix the problem. I’m not great with this kind of code–is this going to cause some other problem by not limiting the device widths?
Also, my menu is now not tall enough for the second line. Check it out at

Can you tell me what the other variables are (instead of time) for category and author?
To add to previous reply, we would like the news items to have a date only.
Our site is still being ported over from joomla!, and so it’s not finished or perfected, but…
Sermons (would like author and date for these)
http://wordpress.kirkofkildaire.org/sermons/The items in the slideshow on this page are posts (would like nothing for these)

http://wordpress.kirkofkildaire.org/category/news/upcoming-events/@toner728 To go back to my earlier version of WordPress, I had to backup restored files that I had in my WordPress folder from a time before I upgraded to WordPress 4.0.
I’m not great at the backend stuff, but this did work for me. There may be a simpler way to do this.
I have not tried the ftp upgrade of the theme, again, because I’m not great at the backend, but I may try when I have more time.
Theme says I’m on the latest level, so yes?
What is the plan for getting this resolved with WordPress 4.0?
