It worked….and it’s so weird, because it used to be correct and display the avatar until before I installed that plugin. Same behavior happened in 3 other sites after installing that plugin. In this specific case it seems like something happened with the email address related to the Gravatar, in the other two cases it magically reappeared without me doing anything.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, there is definitely something wrong since I installed the plugin.
The author of the 41 Posts you sent me the screenshot DOES have indeed the Gravatar image, but that image is not being pulled up anymore since I installed the plugin. I checked my Gravatar account to find confirmation of what I say. I tried changing image yet nothing, doesn’t work.
And what’s worse is the fact that if I deactivate the plugin, the situation is not restored for the remaining original posts that belong to the blog and are not pulled in from G+. The Author image now doesn’t show anymore anywhere in the blog.
How could I fix that?

I did, but it’s not unfortunately working.
Having the same issue on two other sites that like this one are using a plugin called Social Media 2 WordPress for Google+

I tried deactivating the plugin, deleting it, but it doesn’t restore the functionality. Hopefully there is a way to revert or retrieve/fix the issue.

PS: there is probably something wrong. When I write a comment here now and click on Submit, I get a blank page, not refreshing the forum now.
I then reload the page and see that the answer was published there, but still get the same here in the comment box, as if I was to write it again.

Curiously enough I just changed the original YouTube link given in the embed (which was just http://) with the one I saw in the YouTube address bar, which carried the https:// and when loading again the site the error seems to have gone.

I gave up taking the link from my AS3 bucket for the moment, because if the YouTube appears to be working fine I may not have to change such link with my own link on AS3.

I don’t consider the issue solved yet, because I have a feeling that it should be better to add the AS3 link, but so far so good…

There are other little issues I need to solve with regards to speed optimization for a faster loading site, so once I’m done translating the site I will probably get back to this one if it improves the rendering.

Thank you. I think you guys are terrific and I’m so glad I stick to Enfold for every site I make.

I keep recommending Enfold to lots of fellows and I know that quite a few end up buying it. Why shouldn’t they in the end? You guys are awesome!

Any update with the WPML switcher issue in the menu?

I cannot unfortunately move on with making the site multilingual until I find out how to avoid having all the flags showing up side by side in the menu and messing up everything.

Problem Solved!

FYI adding a ‘full width button’ element to the page causes the sidebar to break and widgets to disappear.

I removed the full width button and sidebar widgets magically reappeared :)

Here is a website report I was just given (that I don’t really understand unfortunately), which identifies quite a lot of things that cause the site to be so slow.

Apparently part of it is due to the server. A good deal of it though seems to be generated by the theme.

I will try and set up Cloudflare now and I may consider W3Total Cache, though I’m afraid I may make some damage because I don’t know how to set it up correctly…

Hopefully you can guide me to a safer path.

Thanks for checking. The problem comes and goes…

I’m developing the site without plugins because I want a clean version before I start adding things. The only ones I currently have are Akismet, Clean Talk anti spam and Awesome Weather, which I added just a couple of days ago well after the problem occurred.

The site is on https, hosted with Namecheap, I asked them why it’s so slow and they suggest I use Cloudflare and WP Total Cache. I’ve never tried Cloudflare before and am a little worried about WP Total Cache because of its settings which may cause issue with the site…
Do you have any recommendation?

If you notice, the site uses lots of elements on each page. Could that be a cause of the slow load time?

I’m really happy with the results coming through Enfold. The site I’m currently working on may be the best and most comeplling site I ever created. Hopefully, I’ll be able to make it load faster too.

I noticed that the fullscreen slider take a lot of time to load, regardless of the fact that I super compressed the images. Is there a way to make them load faster?

I found the issue. It’s related to the fact that the site is using https:// protcol and the script in the footer was considered unsafe, as it was using http:// rather than https://

Will have to look for a weather plugin that supports https.

I don’t see it appearing by default if I click the animated numbers element…maybe there is something not appearing?

I just sent you the private credentials to log into my dashboard as admin for the other issue related to the submenu, maybe you can look into that too.

Meanwhile however, I solved this problem by adding again the code in the Quick CSS field.
