    Dear support,

    After a lot of trial and error I found out that the Enfold Mailchimp integration does not trigger the ‘Final Welcome email’ if the ‘Double opt-in’ is not checked.

    When I’m using the ’embedded form’ Mailchimp code on the website, this will trigger the ‘Final Welcome email’, also for ‘Single optin’.

    I just want to make sure that my assumption is right and that you are aware of this situation so maybe you can add it to your documentation, so that other people don’t have to figure this out be themselves.

    Hey tijshensen,

    That is because we have made our form to be compatible with GDPR so we have it like that to work properly and be valid on the new law! :)

    Is double Opt-in part of the GDPR law?
    MailChimp offers a GDPR notification, but as far as I can see it’s not integrated within the Enfold Mail Chimp API.

    Yes, double optin is part of GDPR.
