Hi guys,
I use the Advancend Layout Builder to add some blog post elements to my homepage. They have the title, excerpt and read more format.
Unfortunately they just cut the text at a certain point. I would like these teasers to respect the read more tag that we use in the blog posts.
I found this post in German: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/weiterlesen-tag-bei-inhalts-element-blog-beitrage-selbst-definieren/
It includes a filter function which should do the trick, but unfortunately it did not work. Did something change about that?
Could you hint me in the right direction? Thanks Sascha
August 16, 2018 at 11:15 am #997893I noticed the code seems to work if I use the layout “single Author” with big thumbnail picture. It does not work for “Raster-Layout (in German)”. What to do?

When you build the posts with the Advanced Layout Builder the posts will not respect the read more link. The link will only work with the default editor.

Well, the Advanced Layout Builder will use excerpts for its elements and the Default editor might respect the read more link.
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Can you please give the links to some posts like that?
Best regards,

For the blog element in grid view, please manually add a excerpt by clicking the “Screen Options” option at the top of your post screen, and checking the Excerpts box, which will give you a text area below your post area.
Then the grid will show your custom excerpt, giving you greater control.Best regards,
