I’ve ben trying to import the demo content (tried a few demos but wanting Enfold 2017 demo) and all I get is this error after about a minute of processing:
“Importing didnt work!
You might want to try reloading the page and then try again”Please advise.
Thank you.August 15, 2018 at 6:16 am #997434Hey Richinator,
Sorry for the problem. Could you try to import the demo manually to see if that works better please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/initial-theme-setup/#manual-demo-import–xml-file-import-. If not then please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.
Best regards,
RikardAugust 17, 2018 at 5:24 pm #998517I tried (several times) to do the manual upload, no luck. It would get to the import stage and instead of importing files it tried to download something to my computer. I can give you admin access – please see the credentials below.
August 18, 2018 at 6:47 am #998644Hi,
Thanks for that, could you upgrade the account to admin rights as well please? Otherwise we can’t see the theme options :-)

RikardAugust 20, 2018 at 4:34 am #999156I upgraded you to admin – sign in and check it out. Thanks!

VictoriaAugust 24, 2018 at 7:56 pm #1001380I had the web host boost the PHP memory to 20MB, post and upload. And still can’t import demo content. Please advise.
August 25, 2018 at 10:43 am #1001557Hi Richinator,
Can you please ask your hosting provider to increase those to 64mb and disable all plugins before the import?
Best regards,
VictoriaSeptember 19, 2018 at 7:36 pm #1011993They maxed out the PHP memory at 256 and still can’t import the demo content – is there a way to manually upload the demo content via FTP?
September 19, 2018 at 8:32 pm #1012004Hi,
If You try a local install or separate sever does it work? This is is just to rule out a server problem.

Jordan ShannonSeptember 19, 2018 at 8:40 pm #1012010We don’t have a local server that we can try it on, but we have tried it with two separate web hosts.
September 19, 2018 at 8:57 pm #1012016Hi,
What is the php version you’re running?
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonSeptember 19, 2018 at 9:12 pm #1012025Version 7.0 right now.
September 21, 2018 at 3:43 am #1012593Hi,
Looks like you managed to import one of the demos. If that’s not the demo you want, include the FTP details in the private field so that we can upload the Enfold 2017 demo images manually. Please note that we will have to reset the database.

IsmaelSeptember 21, 2018 at 5:11 pm #1012840Yeah, that wasn’t the demo we wanted and this one still timed out and gave us an error message during the import but at least something came up on the site! Was wanting the “Enfold 2017” demo installed. The FTP access credentials will be in the private content area. Resetting the database is fine, we haven’t added any unique content yet. Thanks so much for your help!
September 24, 2018 at 4:52 am #1013466Hi,
Thanks for the update.
We reset the database and then re-imported the demo manually. You can now reconfigure the site as you wish.

IsmaelSeptember 24, 2018 at 4:44 pm #1013696Excellent – thanks for your help!
September 24, 2018 at 4:53 pm #1013704One problem – you reset the username and password when you reset the database and I cannot log in – can you get me the new credentials? I have the new username, just need the password.
September 24, 2018 at 7:47 pm #1013785Hey Richinator,
Is this for your WordPress admin account? You should be able to reset the password via “Forgot Password” link which will email you instructions.
Best regards,
Jordan Shannon -
