I have looked through the forum and tried everything most moderators suggested to create a transparent header with no border, however, the header remains white.
What I would like is for the header to be transparent at first (with the logo and text to be white), but when you scroll down, the entire menu disappears. On the home page, I have set the Layout section’s Header visibility and transparency to: Header is invisible and appears when user scrolls down. I have achieved this effect on another site using the same theme a few days ago. I have cross checked everything and it doesn’t appear I did anything different.
Currently, the header shows up as white initially then disappears on scroll. Can anyone assist? It seems like something may be blocking it.
I would also like to see the social media icons above the menu bar in the top right, and the phone number in the top left. I set it up in “Extra Elements” tab but it doesn’t show.
Please assist.
August 5, 2018 at 1:03 am #993596Hey verydapper,
If I understand correctly you would like to have a transparent header with a white logo and menu items, and on scroll the header becomes white with black logo and menu items.
For this the setting “Header is invisible and appears when user scrolls down” is not correct, this setting shows no header at all until scroll.
The setting you want is “Transparent Header” which I changed for you.
Yet your header is behaving like a sticky header, which was set at: Enfold Theme Options > Header > Header behavior > Sticky Header
Which I unchecked for you.I see you have a Godaddy cache, which I tried clearing, but I believe it is cached on the server, please clear and disable all caching, especially a server cache, I also see you have JetPack installed, please disable.
I believe this should get your header working right, because I believe we are looking at a cached version, but there could be a conflict elsewhere, such as “Nifty Coming Soon & Maintenance page”
So try to temporarily disable if the steps above don’t help.
Let us know if this doesn’t solve and allow us to disable your plugins to test.Best regards,
MikeAugust 5, 2018 at 7:01 am #993614Thanks for your assistance with this…
I have flushed the cache, and disabled the plugins… It is still the same. I even called godaddy.com for assistance to ensure I was flushing the cache on the server side. Still the same result.
Also, I’ve put in the fallback image on the home page (for mobile) but it doesn’t work. All I see is: [object object]
Lastly, in the accordion section of the home page, is there any way to center the images? Currently they look right justified.
Thanks
August 5, 2018 at 1:30 pm #993675Hi,
For [object object] error: it’s the enfold > config-templatebuilder > aviashortcodes > slideshow > slideshow.js file.
Please download the fixed file in the Private Content area & save a backup of your slideshow.js & and try replacing it via ftp.
since it’s a js file, you will need to clear the cache a few times before the fix shows. For the header: I assume you have made no theme file changes, such as in the header.php? Can we temporary disable the plugins to test?
Best regards,
MikeAugust 7, 2018 at 11:46 pm #994621I have not made any theme file changes, and yes you can disable plugins to test.
August 8, 2018 at 12:57 am #994637Hi,
For the [object object] error have you tried uploading the slideshow.js file? or if you include ftp access we can assist with it.Best regards,
MikeAugust 8, 2018 at 1:02 am #994640I wasn’t able to get it done. I’m giving you access below. Thanks a million.
August 8, 2018 at 12:59 pm #994930Hi,
Thank you for the login, I was able to upload the slideshow.js file and clear the cache to fix the mobile [object object] error.
I’m still have not solved the header issue yet.
Please check the mobile [object object] error by clearing your cache a few times.Best regards,
MikeAugust 8, 2018 at 1:39 pm #994956Hi,
For the header issue, I’ve tried deactivating your pulgins, checking for console errors, etc. without success. I do see godaddy has added a “drop-in” plugin “APCu backend for the WP Object Cache” which I can’t disable and I wonder if that is the issue.
Please ask godaddy if they can disable it so we can see if that is the conflict.Best regards,
Mike -
