We have an older existing corporate site, that is using Enfold theme, on the primary domain, we will call it SITE A.

We built a new website, using Enfold theme, in a development directory on the primary domain, we will call it SITE B.

SITE A has WordPress subscribers, Blog Posts and data that we want to retain. SITE B has no data but does have all the new pages.

Without losing data from SITE A, how do we apply the new design from SITE B? Pages, etc.

Will add the direct links to both sites in the private data. We thought about using managewp.com but this is not the best solution.

    Any help? :)

    Hi,

So it’s only the styling and theme settings you want to transfer? If so then you can try to export the settings from site B and import them on A, then copy all the CSS files from site B to site A.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

As I said, we created all new pages, new styling, and some custom css. Please explain in detail what needs to happen.

Can we get an answer on this today? We have deadlines. It’s not just styling and css, we created all new pages to replace some of the pages on SITE A.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the late response.

Use the WP Migrate plugin to download the current site’s database. The theme options are also saved in the database so it’s going to be included in the sql file. You can then import that file in the new site’s database.

    Quick start guide: https://deliciousbrains.com/wp-migrate-db-pro/doc/quick-start-guide/

After transferring the database, download the “wp-content” folder of the current site and transfer it to the new site. That folder contains the plugins, themes and media files.

    Best regards,

Won’t this overwrite SITE A plugins and such?

    Hi,

No, it won’t overwrite site A. The plugin will generate the database of Site A and then you have to transfer or import the generated file to Site B.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
