Hello,
I have not been able to display the Google map without error after long tests. For this I have generated and integrated an API key. I turned on the restrictions (with and without restriction, sometimes IP restriction), which has the error message also changed. However, it does not work out that the card works properly. What else can you do there?
Here the page is under e.g. https://www.beachhotel-sahlenburg.de/hotel/uebersicht-hotelzimmer/
You have to scroll down to the bottom. On the start page and contact page, the card is integrated via iFrame, which works quite well. On all other pages, the map is linked through the Google service, which does not work.Best regards,

1) Please turn off the restrictions
2) Go to this page https://console.developers.google.com/google/maps-apis/api-list and make sure you’ve activated all apis (I guess you’ll use the German version of Google Developers and the APIs should be listed under the headline “Verwendete APIs” and not “Unbenutzte APIs”).
3) Go to the Theme Options Panel and verify the api key again. The maps should then start to work.
4) Afterwards you can start to activate the restrictions again, but be careful and always test the maps.Best regards,
DudeJuly 27, 2018 at 10:49 am #990625hello, yes that’s all okay. For APIs in use, only the Maps JavaScript API is listed. Nevertheless, it does not work. If I use a different WP plug-in, a map will be displayed. It must therefore be due to Enfold.
July 29, 2018 at 2:18 am #991009Hi,
Please disable js merging in Theme Options Enfold > Performance and if any caching plugin is enabled and try again.
You can also find more information on Google maps documentation.
Best regards,
VinayJuly 30, 2018 at 10:21 am #991460Hello Vinay,
I tried these and other possibilities there, unfortunately everything without success. Via the plug-in “WP Google Maps” the map can be integrated. It must have something to do with the Enfold. Incidentally, I have the same problem on other websites, because it did not work either.

MartinJuly 31, 2018 at 12:26 am #991775Hi,
I assure you it is not an issue with the theme. If the map elements work fine for others with a correct API key it should work for you as well. Let me take a closer look at this issue please post your login details in private message.

August 2, 2018 at 4:47 am #992658Hi,
Thanks for the info.
There’a an extra space before the actual API key. I corrected that but then I got this error.
Geocoding Service: This API project is not authorized to use this API. For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
You need to enable the Geocoding Service API manually.
Here’s how: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/google-map/#enable-services-for-google-apiBest regards,
IsmaelAugust 7, 2018 at 12:32 pm #994384Hello Ismael,
I did it all and it went for a few seconds. Now comes again the error message. I then browsed something and found in the API setting this saying: “This project has no billing account linked.”
Can it be that Google now wants to have money for this map service? And that’s why it does not work?
Best regards,
MartinAugust 7, 2018 at 1:34 pm #994418Hi,
Google will not necessarily charge you (it depends on the number of requests) but you need to set up a billing account. More information: https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/user-guide/pricing-changes/
Best regards,
DudeAugust 7, 2018 at 1:39 pm #994423There are hardly any requests and there is only this one API key. So I think I do not need an account here. Or?
August 7, 2018 at 1:57 pm #994436Hi,
But I think you must set up a billing account – according to the FAQ (I post it in German):
Best regards,
DudeAugust 7, 2018 at 4:51 pm #994482Hi m_reiprich, the billing account is necessary even if you set the quota to a safe setting for not being charged, there is a thread on this forum called Google Map API – Billing, you can follow there how to set quotas.
