Hello.
My site uses the Enfold (Latest ver.4.4.1), does not respond when the “Add Media” button is pressed inside wordpress editor. I did some testing with each other version and the button worked well in previous versions of the Enfold (ver.4.2).Can you help me solve this issue please?
Thanks.July 26, 2018 at 1:38 pm #990241Hey vocalman77,

VictoriaJuly 27, 2018 at 2:28 am #990521Hi Victoria,
Does it mean that it is not an error in the ENFOLD theme?
By the way, I wonder why version 4.2 works well but JavaScript errors occur in the latest version.
In version 4.2, there is the same Javasctipt error as the image you sent, but the ‘Add Media’ button works fine.
How can I fix the error? Please answer. Thanks
July 27, 2018 at 8:49 am #990575Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. Did you try deactivating all plugins to see if there is a conflict coming from any of them?

RikardJuly 27, 2018 at 9:17 am #990580Hi Rikard,
Of course, after I disabled all plugins, I tried but the button still does not work.
I tested in all the same conditions(Plugins etc), and when I changed only the version of the theme(Ver.4.2), the ‘Add Media’ button normally worked. Please answer. Thanks

VictoriaJuly 30, 2018 at 2:06 am #991345Hi Victoria,
It’s a built-in upload method on the bulletin board plugin, but the pop-up works but is not actually uploaded. The ‘Add Media’ button in the WordPress editor does not even work with upload popups. Please answer. Thanks
July 30, 2018 at 4:30 pm #991569Hi vocalman77,
So is the issue in the backend?
Can you please describe step by step how to reproduce the issue?
Best regards,
VictoriaJuly 31, 2018 at 4:09 am #991793Hi Victoria,
The ‘Add Media’ button works well on the backend(Posts, Pages). It does not work at the front.
As I said before, I did a replacement test with the theme as a variable. The ‘Add Media’ button works well with the WordPress default theme (Twenty series) or Enfold 4.2. All test environments and conditions are the same. It does not work in 4.4.1. So I guess that’s the problem with version 4.4.1.Please test. Thanks
July 31, 2018 at 8:19 am #991821Hi!
Please try following fix – open up wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/js/avia-media.js and replace line 135
options = clicked.data();
with
options = clicked.data(),

I modified it as I told you, but the buttons are still unresponsive.
It is being applied to port 8002.
Thanks for the feedback.August 2, 2018 at 4:41 am #992656Hi,
Thanks for the update.
We’re still not sure why it’s not working. The console doesn’t return any errors so it’s a little difficult to debug. The files are also not editable via Appearance > Editor panel. Please provide the FTP details in the private field so that we can check it further.
If possible, please contact the plugin authors for additional help.
Best regards,

To access FTP, it need the IP address of your PC to unblock the firewall. I will add it to the firewall rule as soon as I receive it.
And I suspected the plugin just like you, so I tried replacing it with another forum plugin and editor (TinyMCE Advanced, WordPress Editor etc.) and it failed. Thanks for the feedback.
August 3, 2018 at 12:27 pm #993222Hi,
Thanks for the update. Please disable the security block temporarily and then provide the FTP details in the private field so that we can check the theme files. Unfortunately, we are not familiar with that plugin, so any additional info from the authors will help.

IsmaelAugust 6, 2018 at 4:05 am #993783Hi, Ismael
The firewall is open.
According to the author of the forum plugin, there is no editor-related code in the plugin, so if there is a problem, it should be checked whether there is a conflict with other plugins or installed themes. As its author says, Add media button works well when I change the version of the theme under the same conditions. Thanks for the feedback.
August 7, 2018 at 1:50 am #994163Hi,
What’s the difference between the “Add Media” and the “KBoard Add Media” button? The latter is working properly.

IsmaelAugust 7, 2018 at 3:12 am #994184Hi,
“Add Media” is an administrator specific uploader that is embedded in WordPress connected to media library on backend, and “KBoard Add Media” is an uploader for the forum plugin not connected to media library, It is also displayed to general users. As you said, “KBoard Add Media” works when it only have theme and plugin installed on the test server, but it does not even work on real websites with multiple plugins together. In conclusion, I thought it was a theme problem because there was no problem in the same environment until the previous version, but it didn’t work after updating to the latest version. However, if you can’t find any problems in the theme, I will not ask about this issue anymore.
Thank for your reply for a long time.
Have a good day.August 7, 2018 at 4:07 am #994198 -
