Good evening guys,
just one little question: where can I switch on/off the “next-page-preview“ in the
portfolio, resp. portfolio-items?I’m not quite sure, if this is the right discription for it, but I show you want I mean.
Please take a look at the screenshots. Now clear?I’m looking forward to your reply…thx…
Best regards
Carsten HeilJuly 19, 2018 at 2:03 pm #987403Hey Carsten,
Thanks for the screenshots. Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:
#top .avia-post-nav { display:none; }
Best regards,
RikardJuly 19, 2018 at 5:01 pm #987490Hey Rikard,
thx for your help…it works very well! :)
But I have a further question(s). What’s the correct name of the preview-thing?
Is it real called “next-page-preview”, or has it another name? Maybe “preview-flag”?On my own site the CSS-Code works very well, as I said before. But on a new
customer project it doesn’t and I don’t know why. Be sure the new customer
will buy his own Enfold-Copy, but we want to be ready with the site before.
Please take a look at the gallery and try by yourself. (link in private content)What is the mistake there? I can’t find him. ;-/ At my gallery the preview-flag is shown
up allways…directly from the beginning. But on the customer site it never shows up,
also from the beginning.I putted your code-snippet into the Quick-CSS and change “none” to “on” or “all”.
I don’t know, if this is correct to switch it on. It seems so, that is not, because nothing
changed. ;) Maybe there is another prob (not css), which I can’t localize. So please help
me again to find the solution, resp. the problem…thank you!Best regards
CarstenJuly 21, 2018 at 4:45 am #988104Hi Carsten,
Thanks for the feedback, though I’m having problems understanding exactly what you are looking for. Do you want to hide the next/previous navigation on another site but the code is not working there? If you want to show the navigation then you can simply remove the CSS, or change it to this:
#top .avia-post-nav { display:block; }
Best regards,
RikardJuly 21, 2018 at 6:54 pm #988186Hai Rikard,
thx for your answer again!
Yes, on my site everything works fine (also your new code-snippets). But on the new
customer site the “next/previous navigation“ doesn’t show up. ;-/ Normaly you
must do nothing that the n/p-navi shows up, it does it automaticly. But on the new
project, I repeat: it doesn’t and unfortunately I can’t finde the mistake.I copied also my complete “Quick-CSS-Codes“ into the project-site. But also this
did not help.In my view it is necessary that you have put a “contributing picture“ in your portfolio-
entry, that the preview works correctly, right? So, I have! I also thought that it is
necessary to create a „portfolio categorie“, but It’s not…right? So, what I’m doing wrong, resp. what do I don’t see? Where is the thinking error?
Maybe you take a look into the backend?…See link below…Best regards and Bon Weekend!
CarstenJuly 22, 2018 at 6:04 am #988282Hi Carsten,
Thanks for the login details. You had checked the Disable the post navigation option under Enfold->Blog Layout. I unchecked that and the post navigation is showing again on your site.
Best regards,
RikardJuly 22, 2018 at 4:50 pm #988434Hi Rikard,
thanks a lot! Oh man…so easy, but I really didn’t see it. ;-/
But now everything is fine again. ;-)You (and your team-colleagues) are open for constructive criticism, don’t you?
In my view it would be better, that the complete backend is translated and not
only a few parts. Maybe such problems wouldn’t appear than. ;-) And second:
why don’t you design the complete backend like the “header- or mainmenu-
tab-section”? There you have previews on top to see what’ll change. Icons or
previews like that are helping a lot to make working much easier and faster! :-)So, thx a lot again and see ya next time…
Best regards
CarstenJuly 23, 2018 at 5:15 am #988577Hi Carsten,
Great, glad we could help and thanks for the feedback, we very much appreciate that. We’re always looking for ways to improve the functionality and usability of the theme.
Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic or if we can close it.
Best regards,
RikardJuly 23, 2018 at 6:05 pm #988802Hi Rikard,
you’re welcome! It’s always a pleasure if supporters are open for suggestions…keep it up! :-)
I have one more question: how can I change the color of the preview-flag? Please take a look at
the screenshot below again. Now it is dark grey, but I want to change it. Which “Quick-CSS-
Code-Snippet” do I need?Thx very much in advance!
Best regards
CarstenJuly 24, 2018 at 5:59 am #989033Hi Carsten,
Thanks for the feedback :-)
Do you mean the background colour of the navigation? If so then you can try this in Quick CSS:
#top .avia-post-nav { background: rgba(0,0,0,0.1) !important; }
That is the default CSS so you would have to change it to your own colour.
Best regards,
RikardJuly 24, 2018 at 3:25 pm #989221Hi Rikard,
thx again…that works fine!
But – I only want to change the “open” flag (dark grey)…see the screenshot again.
I don’t want to change the closed flag (light grey)…see the second screenshot. With the code I only can change the entire flag colour. I think, I need one more
code-line…something like “highlight-background“ or so… :-)Best regards
CarstenJuly 25, 2018 at 2:33 pm #989708Hi Rikard,
my customer now has another wish. ;-)
The preview-flag shouldn’t open, if you click, resp. hover, on it. Is that possible?
So you should only be able to click on, but the flag remains closed. Like the
screenshot below!Best regards
CarstenJuly 26, 2018 at 10:18 am #990144Hi designbasis,
Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)

VictoriaJuly 29, 2018 at 5:50 pm #991128Hi Victoria, (and Rikard)
thx for your answer!
Of course you’re right – this wish isn’t or wasn’t a “style-wish“, but a “technic-wish“.
And of course afterwards I understand that this is not covered by your team. But what is with my question from July 24th? It would be nice if I could get an answer
to that. :-)Best regards
CarstenJuly 29, 2018 at 6:09 pm #991142Hi Carsten,
Can you please repeat the question? Looks like you were helped with something, so I am not sure what issue still remains.
Best regards,
VictoriaJuly 29, 2018 at 6:24 pm #991154Hi Victoria,
wow, that was the fastest reaction I ever had from Kriesi-Team. ;-)
And that on Sunday…great! :-)Just easy…look at my “reply #989221“
Nice evening
CarstenJuly 29, 2018 at 7:55 pm #991270Hi designbasis,
Do you want to change the background color of the open next-prev element?
Best regards,
VictoriaJuly 31, 2018 at 7:29 pm #992052Hi Victoria,
yes, that’s correct! I want to change the background-colour.
And now I also want to change that the round prev-picture disappears.
I know that I only have to delete the prev-picture in the portfolio-entry
for that, but I want to keep it in the backend…for better optical orientation. ;-)
So, is there a way to do that in the frontend? A quick-css-snippet hopefully?Best regards
CarstenAugust 2, 2018 at 5:08 am #992670Hi,
Thanks for the update.
These css codes should change the background and remove the image.
#top .avia-post-nav { background: red; background: rgba(255,25,30,0.1); color: #fff; } #top .avia-post-nav:hover { background: red; background: rgba(255,25,30,0.8); } #top .avia-post-nav .entry-image { display: none !important; } #top .avia-post-nav:hover .entry-info-wrap { width: 100px; } #top .avia-post-next.with-image { text-align: left; } #top.avia-post-prev.with-image { text-align: right; } #top .avia-post-nav .entry-info { width: 100%; margin: 0; }

IsmaelAugust 5, 2018 at 5:34 pm #993716Hi Ismael,
thx for your help – works very well! :-)
But two further questions: how can I change the order of the portfolio entries?
The preview shows the “portfolio-entrys” in the order as they are uploaded
in the backend. But I wanted to arrange them like in my frontend-overview.And is it possible to say to the preview, that she only should show the entrys
of particular year at a time? For example: if you’re in the 2010-area, please
show only the entrys of the year 2010 in the preview. How can I do this?
Best regards
CarstenAugust 7, 2018 at 4:03 am #994196Hi,
The navigation can only fetch adjacent posts or posts that were created before and after the current post. It’s based on the following function.
// https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_adjacent_post

IsmaelAugust 7, 2018 at 10:27 pm #994594Good Evening Ismael,
thx for your answer and I understand.
I’ve found another solution by now. Do you know the plugin “Post Types Order”?
This plugin has got a very basic functionality, but it works. And there is another plugin which do the same and more. You can buy it in the
envato-shop: https://codecanyon.net/item/wordpress-real-media-library-media-categories-folders/13155134?ref=surfjunkyAnd here is a third possibility: https://www.joomunited.com/wordpress-products/wp-media-folder
Maybe the WP-developers bring some of that functionality in the backend in the future. ;-)
By the way – it would have been nice if I had received the plugin suggestions from you. ;-)
Next time again. :-) But I’m also happy to help where I can! ;-)Best regards
CarstenAugust 8, 2018 at 4:10 am #994677Hi,
That plugin actually breaks the post navigation. Maybe, it’s fixed now but we’ve had old threads that reported incompatibility between the plugin and the post navigation.

IsmaelAugust 26, 2018 at 5:02 pm #1001902Hi Folks,
I have a new question following to that theme. :-)
I have discovered that the “prev-buttons“ disappears at very small screens. Why is that so?Ok, I think I know the basic reason for that, but I would like to have them active also at
small screens (cell phone resolution). Which css-code-snippet I need for it?Thx for your support!
Best sunday regards
Carsten HeilAugust 27, 2018 at 3:04 am #1002101Hi,
Thanks for the update.
You can use this css code to bring the navigation back on mobile view.
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { .responsive #top .avia-post-nav { display: block; } }
Best regards,
IsmaelAugust 28, 2018 at 6:37 pm #1002780Hi Ismael,
thank you for the code-snippet – he works fine! :-)
But for the moment please let the thread be open,
because I couldn’t test it on a cell-phone til now. ;-)
I will tell you soon, wether it’s ok!Till then…
Best regads
