I’ve purchased the Enfold theme and I’m trying to upload it to wordpress but it keeps saying “waiting for a response….” and times out. I’ve used Enfold on a previous site and I didn’t have this problem. Any ideas how I can fix this? I’ve been in touch with the web host and they said there isn’t a problem with the site. I really am in a rush with this one. I’ve searched the forums and one answer was to upload via FTP – but I don’t have this option.

Unfortunately we’re not able to help you if you can’t use ftp to install the theme (there’s no other solution if wordpress uploads don’t work). We can’t even check the wp-config.php settings without ftp. I’d suggest to contact the web host to get ftp access to your server or to ask the web host support to install the theme for you (maybe with ssh or another protocol).

DudeAm I right in thinking that this should work via WordPress upload? As I’m sure that’s how I did it less than a year ago when I made my last wordpress site. Is there anything I could be doing wrong? I saw on one discussion board it mentioned opening up the zip file and only uploading a certain section – could this be right?
Hi,
Yes, it should work using the upload function in WordPress, but if the server times out then you don’t have many other options than contacting your hosting provider to ask why that is happening, or upload it using some other method.

RikardAll fixed now. I found the answer on another thread. You cant upload the full file, its just one section you need to upload. All fixed
