I love Enfold & have two WP sites with this theme. Recently I noticed that with all of my accordion boxes, the titles within that you would click on to open that section of the accordion have been eliminated and replaced with a number or the title was corrupted and only a portion of what I have built appears. I have flushed cache and all that. I tried rebuilding a whole new accordion and the same thing happens, that only a number or a portion of what I have put for the title appears to the public. What happened and what is the fix. Thanks.
June 21, 2018 at 6:21 pm #975897Hey AnnWolfMusic,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,
VictoriaJune 22, 2018 at 10:00 pm #976485How would I do that?
June 22, 2018 at 10:26 pm #976496Hi,
You can add the admin info in the private area below the normal content box. This ensures only mods see it.

Jordan ShannonAugust 28, 2018 at 1:19 pm #1002678Here is a link to see what has happened to my pages where I have used an accordion box since the last update. In this page, scroll to the accordion box and there should be a title for each line in the box. In the back admin area, I still see a tiltle for each line, but on the page that the public sees, some of the titles have disappeared. I have cleared history, cache, etc. and I have even tried to rebuild the lines and they still do not show. I have not changed anything for the pages where this has taken place. Click to see example.
August 28, 2018 at 6:42 pm #1002785Hi,
Again, if possible, please add admin info in the private area so we can look into this problem further.

Jordan ShannonAugust 28, 2018 at 6:57 pm #1002796Do you need just username and password to the admin area?
August 28, 2018 at 7:29 pm #1002806I have had to compensate on a few pages by removing the titles from the accordion and creating titles and links in a text box which I placed just above the accordion box. But there are many “messy” places on my website now where the accordion has been compromised and if you can restore this, I will not have to rebuild so many places and I will be able to go on to get the update for my second website as well. Thanks.
August 29, 2018 at 6:18 am #1002987Hi,
Do you need just username and password to the admin area?
Yes please :-)
Best regards,
RikardAugust 29, 2018 at 6:03 pm #1003228I have sent the information requested in order to examine what may have caused the disappearing titles on the accordion boxes at my site. This first happened after the last update which I had only accepted for on of my two wordpress sites and both use Enfold: http://www.messageofthelighthouse.org.
I would like to have this issue resolved before accepting the update at my second site because I have used the accordion box quite frequently there as well and do not want to have to reconstruct all those areas. Thank you! : http://www.annwolfmusic.org
August 30, 2018 at 6:40 am #1003381Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, though I’m not sure where you sent the login details? Please post them in private here in the thread, otherwise all moderators won’t have access to them.
Best regards,
RikardAugust 30, 2018 at 12:55 pm #1003535Dear Rikard; Thank you for your response. I did place the requested information into the private content area yesterday, but I did so again at your request today. I hope it works this time. Please confirm if you have located it. Thanks.
August 30, 2018 at 2:52 pm #1003634Hi AnnWolfMusic,
Sorry, we do not see any credentials in private.
Best regards,
VictoriaAugust 30, 2018 at 4:35 pm #1003711Dear Victoria; I do not know what to do next because I have absolutely placed all the requested information into the Private Content Box (below) two times now and yet for some reason it is not getting to you. Do you have another method? I am using Chrome by the way.
Also, I have looked at the two images you sent just now of my message, August 29, 2018 at 6:03 pm #1003228. (I assume you wanted to show me what you received) and those are 2 pictures of the same message which I had placed in the regular public communication boxes in the message thread above just to let you know that I already just sent the requested information in the private content box earlier, so you could look for it.
So, just to be clear, I sent the requested information in the Private Content Box today for the second time and then after I submitted that to you, I sent a second message to advise you to look for my message from the Private Content area and my second message is that which you sent me an image of. Is it possible that you just have not found what I sent via the Private content box yet? Please advise. Thanks you.

August 31, 2018 at 10:15 am #1003997Hi AnnWolfMusic,
I showed you in the screenshots how we see it, there is nothing in the private content box. If you try to send it as a separate message, there had to be some text in the normal text box, otherwise, the message will not be sent.
Please try again.
Best regards,
VictoriaAugust 31, 2018 at 11:01 am #1004019OK, so I will try and send something here as well as in the private box and see if that works. Thanks!
September 2, 2018 at 5:12 pm #1004670Hi,
I tried to troubleshoot this issue but the login credentials you provided do not work for me. Would you mind checking once again and then send us working login credentials?
The user role for the account you send us should be set to ‘administrator’ so we can try to disable all plugins and add custom code (if necessary) to resolve the issue.
I have posted a screenshot of what I see. Could you please elaborate the issue and let us know how we can reproduce it?
Best regards,
VinaySeptember 2, 2018 at 9:43 pm #1004715I am not certain what the issue is with my credentials, but I will look into that and get back to you. As for the screen shot, yes, that is the problem with the accordion at my site. In the admin area you will see a full title for each of those lines and no numbers; and on that page that is visible to the public, you see titles on some lines and then only a number on other lines. So the titles are disappearing even though they remain in the admin area. Also, I tried to make another accordion box and start fresh, and if it had worked, I could have deleted the deffective one, but the new box had the same problem so I deleted it.
September 3, 2018 at 1:16 am #1004742Although I appreciate the offer to help me by looking in the admin area of my site, I would need to know more about what the affects would be to my website if you disabled all my plugins as suggested above.
Instead…would it be possible for you to try some other things first such as to check into the new code (for the accordion) that came with your latest update since it is only after this latest update that I see the problem?
You see, I built the accordion areas quite a while ago and they have carried through all of your updates with no ill effects for a long time. Now after this last update, the accordion is corrupted in that what I see in the admin area is still good as I built it, but what comes through to what others see is missing information in the title area. When a visitor clicks on the title area, the rest opens up ok, so it is just the titles that are irregular. I tried to build a new accordion and the same thing happened, so there is something different about what came with the latest update.
So, can you look first in what was sent through in the last update and perhaps it can be fixed with your next update for everyone. Thanks. Ann
September 3, 2018 at 10:51 am #1004845Hi AnnWolfMusic,
I am not able to login to the backend, the credentials are not working for me. Can you please update them or create a temp account for us?
Which version of php are you running?
Best regards,
VictoriaSeptember 4, 2018 at 5:43 pm #1005710Before you log in to look at the admin area of my website, I need to know more about whether or not you can first investigate the differences in your own code regarding the accordion from the last update that might have affected this module. Could you run a comparison between the first to last update and last update in code for the accordion.
The reason I am asking this is that I have made no changes before or after your update as far as adding or subtracting plugins and have the same plugins running as I have for quite some time. Other updates in the past have not created a problem. The only difference is the latest update, so investigating my back door may not produce what you need.
Second, I want to know more about the “disabling of all plugins” which Vinay in an above message suggested he would do. I believe all of you are excellent at your work, but I am concerned about other problems that may be generated from disabling my plugins.
Thanks. Ann
September 9, 2018 at 7:19 pm #1007658Hi,
The point is that we do not see that issue on our installations or to other installations, so we want to give a look at your own installation!
Best regards,
BasilisSeptember 9, 2018 at 8:33 pm #1007693OK, so you are saying that this is an isolated case? And you have already checked the code on the last update for the accordion feature?
If so, then it could be something at my site or hosting, but my other concern is that a person from your team earlier talked about disabling plug ins and I wanted to know more about that and for how long the site could be down from doing that.
September 11, 2018 at 4:11 pm #1008446Hi,
There had been minor changes in version 4.3.1 but these do not effect on your problem.
As a first step you can disable all plugins by yourself and check, if the problem still occurs. If not, enable one plugin after the other and check. Do not forget to clear server and browser cache after each step.
We cannot assist you if we do not get access to your backend with admin rights, ftp access and the allowance to make temporary changes to the php code to debug the problem. We try to work as fast as possible.
You can create a staging site for us where the error is reproduceable so we do not need to use your live site.
Best regards,
GünterSeptember 11, 2018 at 8:08 pm #1008569Thank you for your communications & patience. Below in private content are the credentials requested.
MY CHECK OF THE AFFECT OF PLUGINS ON THE ACCORDION BOX AT THE AFFECTED SITE: So, today I did an Enfold update on my other wordpress site (annmwolf.org) and the process I used to do the update was the following (as recommended by my technical support advisor from my hosting company) :
1.) Before begining the update, I “deactivated” the Enfold theme & activated another WP Stock theme for the few mintues time of the update. I then, performed the update to the Enfold theme and then immediately reactived the Enfold theme (deactivating the temporary theme). The technical support agent at my hosting company advised me to do all updates this way to themes and plugins to avoid problems with trying to do updates to an element in use during the update process. After doing this update on annwolfmusic.org, I looked at some of the accordion boxes and the ones I insprected so far seem to be working well.
2.) Then I had the technical support agent at my hosting company compare plugins for the messageofthelighthouse.org (where the problem is) to annwolfmusic.org and all plugins being used are identical, so this might mean that the plugins are not the cause of the corruption to the accordion boxes at the messageofthelighthouse.org site.
I look forward to hearing from you as to what you find. Thanks again. Ann
ADDITIONAL QUESTION: For the theme Enfold, what PHP settings does the server require? For example memory_limit. I am looking to improve loading time on both sites.
September 13, 2018 at 1:40 pm #1009389Hi,
Thank you for the login details.
After doing some deeper research on your site I figured out, that the shortcode rendered to build the accordeon is broken – the title is removed. As you see the title when editing the element the shortcode is correct in the postcontent and Database.
The plugin “Responsive Lightbox & Gallery” is the problem. When you deactivate it, the titles are displayed correctly.
We recommend minimum 256MB of memory and for security reasons PHP 7.1 minimum (http://php.net/supported-versions.php).
There are some javascript loading errors (see private content).
Best regards,
GünterSeptember 14, 2018 at 6:29 pm #1009923Thank you Günter for the information. I deactivated the plugin you suggested and indeed, the titles on the accordion reappeared. In random checking of the site, I do not see any ill effects at the moment, so I will leave that one off.
In the process of working with you and my hosting company to achieve this “fix” it has come to my attention that your themes are only be supported for 3 years. Is there a seamless way to transition to another theme of similar qualities without having to rebuild the whole site into a new theme? I was under the impression that when I purchased this theme that there would be ongoing support and no time limit was mentioned or is that just the Php side of things?
Also, with the information you left regarding some loading errors, is that connected to accorion and fixed by the deactivation of Lightbox, or is this representing another problem? Can you give more information on what I should do with those. Thanks!
September 17, 2018 at 6:39 am #1010586Hi,
your themes are only be supported for 3 years
Where did you get that information? The theme was released on April 16, 2013 and it’s still supported till now. I think you’re referring to the support duration imposed by Themeforest.
What’s included in item support
The item support period
A supported item includes item support for 6 months from the purchase date. During those 6 months, the author is expected to be available to provide the item support services we’ve set out on this page. Response times by authors can vary depending on the volume of inquiries, the nature of the request, and whether questions have already been answered or support has already been provided (see ‘fair-use’ later on).If you’re about to purchase the item, you’ll have the option to purchase extended item support, increasing the item support period up to a maximum of 12 months from the date of purchase.
// https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy
I think the error is caused by the plugin. You may need to use another gallery plugin or use the theme’s lightbox option.
Best regards,
