Hello,
On our site (private content) Yoast SEO does not fetch the image for publishing to Facebook. The page we want to publish to Facebook, with a custom image, is the front page.
We have tried debugging with both https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/ and https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/, and we get the same error:
“The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags”.
We have also tried purging cache and deleting browsing data, and it still does not work. We have other sites, which have no problem with fetching image/images to Facebook-posts from the front page.
Do you know what is causing the problem, and how to fix it?
Best regards
Endre
Hey forde,
Thank you for using Enfold.
Did you try to set a featured image to the page? You can set the featured image even when you don’t want it to display on the frontend. Some plugins usually fetch that image as the open graph image value.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi again,
Yes, we have also tried setting a featured image.
In the private content you get login-details for the site.
Is that to any help?
Hi forde,
You might want to address the issue to the Yoast support as well.
Best regards,
Victoria
