I have a video that’s been uploaded to wordpress, it’s not playing on the fullscreen slider after the most recent Enfold update. I’ve searched the threads and haven’t found a solution yet. Could somebody please assist?
Thanks!
June 11, 2018 at 6:55 am #970944Looks like it plays on Firefox and Opera but does not play at all in safari, and only plays in chrome when you visit another page on the site and go back to the homepage. If someone could please help as soon as possible that’d be great, thank so much all.
June 11, 2018 at 7:57 am #970963Please disregard the link provided in private area. I am now using the Revolution Slider as a temporary fix, please still look into the fullscreen slider video issue though, i’m sure others are having this problem as well. Thanks

Thanks for the update, do you have a test page where we can see the actual problem on maybe?

RikardAugust 20, 2018 at 5:01 pm #999499Same issue here. Before upgrade first video in EasySlider did not play, but also the fallback image did not show.
After upgrade to 4.4.1 it shows the fall back image, but the video still does not start playing.
After visiting an other page, it will start. It also works in Firefox.
Please see link in private content.August 20, 2018 at 6:34 pm #999542Hey santossa,
Have you attempted to first disable active plugins to see if this issue resolves first?

Jordan ShannonAugust 21, 2018 at 10:42 am #999730Hi Jordan, yes I did and it did not resolve it. So I digged a little deeper.
In the Chrome console it shows this message: Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: play() failed because the user didn’t interact with the document first. https://goo.gl/xX8pDD
The link goes to: https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-changes
The page starts with the following message: Note: The Autoplay Policy launched in M66 Stable for audio and video elements and is effectively blocking roughly half of unwanted media autoplays in Chrome …..I hope this will help you to solve this issue. Thank you.

AntonAugust 21, 2018 at 8:03 pm #999985Hi Anton,
This is the way Chrome and Safari will handle videos from now on. The user has to scroll or move the mouse for the video to start.

VictoriaAugust 22, 2018 at 10:22 am #1000204Hello Victoria,
Thank you. Although the solution was simple it took me a while to find it.
On the setting page in Easy Slider of the first video I had to check Mute Video. That was all.Regards,
