Hi,
i have started my aite with Simple-Blog Demo data.
At the moment i get a “Rederection loop” with any page i configure in Enfold Them as Startin page.
Without a starting page the site shows up and and you can click on any other page without problems.
Cuase my provider did some mess with HTTPS redeirection , or not doing this, i am afraid i had done some missconfiguration.
I am happy for any hintHi G,
(1) what is the sites base and site url including protocol (settings > general)? (don’t post them here, if confidential. but do they start with http or https?)
(2) besides Enfold as a Theme, which Plugins are installed and active?
(3) whats WP’s and Enfold’s version installed?
(4) can you check, if there is a .htaccess file in the WordPress root folder or it’s parent? If yes, does it look like shown at https://codex.wordpress.org/htaccess?
(5) what do you mean, by “cause my provide did some mess with HTTPS redirection”? Is the server/ webhosting properly configured?Best regards,

5. i have startet with http://rotationsdiät.com orderd SSL , acitvated it ..but the site responed only to http:// cause my hoster did a bad job and the https setting was not going into the configuration . Meaning Wordpres URL and Website URL was http://xn--rotationsdit-qcb.com and i could not change it in WordPress (preinstalled Worpress from the provider),no rights here.
After a call to Support of the hoster on Sunday he told me to install “WP Force SSL” Plugin. With this URL was forced to
https://xn--rotationsdit-qcb.com..but all my uploaded pictures etc. had a fix http:// so mixed security and no green sign in SSL.
Delete and re-upload could not fix it. So i called the hoster and he fixed it. all upload files have now https:// and so are new uploaded.
Somewhat after this my problem started
3. WP is 4.9.6 and Enfold was 4.4. as i started and is now 4.4.1
4. i can not access the htaccess but there is a section for mode rewrite inmy configuration which should cover this and is identical to one in the link. So should be OK if mode rewrite is not the problem.

https://rotationsdiät.com WITHOUT any choosen startsite works fine..No idea on my site..but i am a pure beginner in WordPress and Enfold

Puuh, hard one. Do you have access to the logs of your hosting? access.log, error.log, etc? Did you already try to define your homepage under Settings > Read (Einstellungen > Lesen > Homepage) and keeping the field/ option in Enfold setting empty? If yes, did it result in the same error?
And did you try to call the page with another browser or a browser with cache, history, etc. deleted? Sometimes, browser caching is an issue, when being very active on one page and switching/ testing between http and https.

=> that is the only stting where https://rotationsdiät.com shows up. as soon as i choose any static page as homepage it fails.i am calling my provider again and will see if i can get access to the logs etc. and if he can see anything.

actually it is not the only setting. Please check Enfold > Theme Optionen > Einstellungen (1) > Startseite versus Einstellungen > Lesen (2) > Homepage and do the same for (1) “Wo möchtest Du Deinen Blog anzeigen” versus (2) “Beitragsseite”.

already done. does not matter if i choose in any of both a fixed page as start site or not. as long as in one of both NO startsite is choosen the website appears unde its URL. if iset in in any of both a fixed start site it stopped working .

it is working now.
The Problem, as i see it, is that 1and1 can not handle their APP installed MANAGED WordPress.
I switched the installation from Managed to Standard (means 1and1 has less fingers in it) and et voila, it works.
I tried to setup another new domain rotationsdiät.eu with the APP installed WP and a SSL..but it crashed also as the one before. Seems they can not handle our lovly ÄÖÜ in DNS very well.So close this and thx
