I am using Masonry (Flexible) layout element to pull in 3 categories of blogs (# of posts for each category in parenthesis):
1. Microgrids News (39 posts)
2. Smart Energy Campus News (2 posts)
3. Transmission News (59 posts)Here is the page where this occurs: http://anbaric.com/about/news-resources/
When you click the Microgrid News sorting option, only 2 of the 39 posts show up. When you click the Load More button, the rest start to show up. Is there a fix for this?
Please note that the first two posts that show up have posting dates in 2017. All other posts in this category are from 2009-2016.
Also not that when I remove the third category (Transmission news) from the Masonry, it works. But I really need all three categories to be pulled in.
thanks
John

This is the expected masonry behavior, you can increase the number of posts to be shown on the first load, but if there are earlier posts in other categories they will be shown. There is not a setting to have the equal number of posts to be pulled for each category.

I have the initial number of post to be displayed as 18.
When I click one of the category sorting options, only two (of 39) posts show up. Shouldn’t the most recent 18 in that category show up? When I remove one of the categories from the Masonry, it then works properly so I’m not sure that it is the expected behavior.
Here is the page where this occurs: http://anbaric.com/about/news-resources/
Click on “Microgrid News”. You’ll see that only 2 items show up (and there are 39 posts in this category). Shouldn’t there be 18 since that is the setting for the number of posts to be displayed?

Shouldn’t the most recent 18 in that category show up?
That is not how the sort buttons work, unfortunately. It can only display items that are already visible or present in the page. It cannot display or pull items from the succeeding pages or items that are not yet loaded on the current page.
Best regards,
