masonry gallery preloading?

Hello!

I’ve disabled the fly in animation for masonry galleries and set the column where the masonry gallery is to “fade in”.
But when you visit the page the first time, the pictures (low res) load so slow, that after the fade in there are still loading.

Is there a way, that the gallery first displays, when the images are loaded in the background?
OR that when the several pictures are loading they get visible via a “fade in” effect instead the “fly in”?
