I just installed 4.3 on a new staging site install and I’m having a very strange issue with Advanced Layout Editor.
Inside of a Portfolio Item, using the Button element to link to Products (or other Portfolio Items), the dropdown is replacing the item that starts with the letter latest in the alphabet with the one directly before it. The work-around I’ve got in place is to have a product that starts with ZZ published but not displayed on the front end.
This is super weird and it’d be great if you could take a look and see if there’s a legitimate fix.
I’d be happy to send screenshots to show what I’m referring to. I host other sites that use Enfold but I haven’t checked to see if this is site-specific or not yet. Any help you offer would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Please do send us screenshots so we can try to reproduce the issue.
You can upload the image in https://imgur.com/ or any online image sharing sites and post the link here.
You can also post the link in private content, if you’d like it to be seen only by moderators.Best regards,
NikkoMay 3, 2018 at 4:31 pm #950909Sure thing! I’ve included a private Dropbox link to two images. One shows what the link selection dropdown is displaying and the other shows the current list of active products that should be displayed. You’ll see that the Product that starts with ZZ is being replaced by the one that starts with S, currently. Let me know if you need anything else on my end. Thanks!

We apologize for the late response.
I have checked your site however I also couldn’t figure out why a single product was duplicated in the links in the dropdown however the other product that starts with ZZ didn’t even show up. Can you try to flush out the cache then disable all plugins except for woocommerce? also try to disable wooocommerce addon plugins. Let us know if this helps.Best regards,
NikkoMay 7, 2018 at 8:39 pm #952862Hi Nikko,
Thanks for getting back to me! I’ve deactivated all plugins except for WC and the issue remains.
To clarify my work-around, you shouldn’t expect to see the ZZ product in the drop list, but rather see the product that starts with the next earliest letter in the alphabet. For example, if you made a ZZZ product, you would then see the ZZ product listed twice in the dropdown. This is happening both when selecting to link to a Product and (though I wouldn’t necessarily need to do this) other Portfolio items.
The only other work-around that seems to be a solution would be to set each link manually, using each product’s URL. I did see a weird issue with this in my dev environment where the link would only open in a new tab, but it seems to work fine on the actual staged site. I’d rather not have the client do this, though, as it’s an extra step in the process and has the potential for user error.
Told ya it was a weird one! I would very much appreciate you looking into the issue further and if there’s anything at all I can do on my end to help, please let me know. Shasta!

May 8, 2018 at 2:56 pm #953399Just updated another site that I manage using Enfold and WC and can confirm that this is not a site-specific issue. I’ve attached a screenshot for reference. Thanks!
May 9, 2018 at 6:19 am #953693Hi BlackThundarr,
Thanks for providing the information, we have checked this and can confirm the issue and we already reported this bug.
We apologize for the inconvenience but for the meantime set the link manually for the product that doesn’t appear but rest assured that Kriesi and our devs will be working on fixing this issue :)Best regards,
NikkoMay 9, 2018 at 5:00 pm #954056Right on, I really appreciate you taking the time to look into my issue. I’ll keep checking the theme updates for a fix.
Not to belabor the issue, but I just want to make sure my work-around is clear, in case anyone is having a similar issue:
1. In order for all the desired products to appear in the dropdown, create a product that begins with Z, ZZ, etc. and set it to a category outside of the ones you want displayed (ie Not Displayed). This will cause the product starting with the next lowest letter in the alphabet to be displayed in the menu (albeit twice), along with all the others.
2. To make sure the ZZ product doesn’t appear on the front end, use the ALE to build a separate Store page using the Product Grid module and exclude the Not Displayed category in the Items To Display option. You’ll need to redirect the Return to Shop button to the custom Store page in functions.php.
That’s all I’ve got. Thanks!
