I have updated my Enfold theme and have tried importing the one page portfolio demo with no success. Keep getting the message that the demo will not import, reload page and try again. This does not work. I also tried to do a wordpress reset to fix and have since wiped out the whole site. I have purchased the support as I am desperate to get the page back up and online for an important meeting tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Hello. I would try #1 below and then #2 after that. Also, if your site is going to be up for more than just a very short period of time, I recommend you install and activate the Enfold Child Theme.

    1. Use Chrome in incognito mode, to rule out any conflicts
    2. Increase your memory allowance, using your wp-config.php file. Set the allowance to 768M.

    define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘768M’ );

    Let’s start there.

Ok thanks. I tried Chrome Incognito, and that didn’t work. How do I use the wp-config.php file?

    #949659

If you have FTP access to your website, you can edit that file there. You can also go in through your cPanel and access your File Manager there.

Otherwise, you can contact your web hosting company and have them look into this for you. Some providers don’t allow their customers to edit this files directly.

Ok. I used filezilla and followed directions online adding the following to the bottom of the wp-config right before Happy Blogging. Unfortunately GoDaddy was no help earlier and why I broke down and purchased the 6 months of support from you guys.

    define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘768’);

Thank you. Unfortunately this did not remedy the problem. Anything else I can try?

    #949701

Maybe try a different browser or temporarily deactivating all of your plugins.

    #949763

All plugins deactivated and tried it in Chrome incognito again, and still no luck.

    #949777

    Try a completely different browser.

    #949779

I have tried on Safari, Chrome and Firefox on two different Macs and unfortunately I’m still getting the same error message.

    #949780

Well, you can wait on Enfold or we can do a screen share. Your call.

Don’t want to hijack this thread but I’m having the same issue this evening (with all demos – I’m actually trying to import Enfold 2017) so following to see if the issue is resolved.

Edit – I’ve also tried the pointers above.

I’ll let PowerPlay have your time first, I’m leave it for this evening and see if there’s any change tomorrow morning before trying to escalate :)

    #950357

Ok – sorry I have installed on the Mac now and trying to figure this out. I appreciate your patience.

    #950359

Have tried 4.3.1 to see if that jars anything loose?

    #950360

Ok – sorry I have installed on the Mac now and trying to figure this out. I appreciate your patience.

    #950364

Should see me now. Yes updated earlier

    #950365

No, I need your ID and password.

    #950367

IT’S BELOW. SORRY SENT THAT earlier

    #950369

I think only Enfold can see that. Feel free to email me at ryan[at]wpturnedup.com.

Was this issue sorted? I’m still having trouble on my side.

    #950794

Still a work in progress, but appears to be an issue with hosting and the uploading of files. Might want to check with your host.

Thanks again for your help on this WP Turned Up. I got back on the phone with hosting provider after our session and they did nothing but try and sell me their help services. Very frustrating.

    #950811

Well, the offer still stands. I can help you migrate to SiteGround, at no cost. It’s super simple. Lemme know.

All of my own sites and my client sites are over there.
