Hi there, I just created website on Enfold theme and we have problem with responsive mode on mobile browser. On desktop browser website this mode works fine if I change browser’s window size.
I tried to use some custom css from forum but it does not work for me.
Have you got any suggestions? Thank you.

    Hey skywidget,

Can you please tell us what is not working fine, because it is not clear at all.

to be clear there is responive mode, but it looks like tablet mode. All menu links are very small and not easy to read.

    Hi,

That is how the design is working unfortunately as per our developers.

I don’t think so. If you use desktop web browser and resize the window responsive mode does work as it should. Demo we have used also works fine: https://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold-overview (ENFOLD BAND demo)

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, though you haven’t specified what exactly is not working? Could you try to explain a bit further or post screenshots of the problem please? https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-band/

When we open the website on the browser it is displayed like on the image screen_browser. When opened on the phone, it is displayed like it is not responsive at all (screen_phone). In the settings, the responsive mode is turned on and it works well when we resize the browser – screen_resized browser. We would like our page to be responsive and be displayed on the phones like it is displayed on image screen_resized browser, but it is not and that is our problem. We have checked on several phone models and none of them displays the site as responsive.

We have used the “Band” demo (https://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold-overview > band), it is responsive and is displayed well on both phone and computer screen, so it’s not possible that this demo is simply made like this.

    Attached printscreens.

    Hi,

Thanks for that, though I can’t reproduce the problem on my end using Chrome on Android, I see what your minimised browser screenshot looks like. The screenshot with two columns look very wide, what sort of a phone are you using? Please make sure that you are not getting cached results, you can use an incognito window using Chrome to make sure of that.

    Hi,

I’m using Safari and Chrome on iPhone SE. I’ve checked on Chrome installed on Huawei Honor 4C and Huawei P10 as well, the problem still occurs. In both cases I’ve used incognito mode.
Yes, it looks wide on phone and we would want to fix it. Do you have any other ideas what causes this problem?

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, though I’m unable to reproduce the results in your screenshot. Please see private, using Chrome on Android.

    Hi,

this is a screenshot from Android – Chrome used in incognito mode. Still looks wide and is not responsive.

    Hi,

Thanks for that, though I still can’t reproduce those results on my end. Do you know what the exact width of the screens your phones have? If so you could test if you get the same results on a desktop screen, you can see the window width if you right click anywhere on the page and select inspect.

Yes, I’ve checked the dimensions of iPhone SE – it’s 1136x640px. I’ve tested it as you’ve recommended and the results are different, screenshots attached.

    Hi,

Is it working on the phone’s portrait mode? The default menu switches to mobile menu when the screen width is less than 989px. If you want the switch to happen earlier or when the screen width is equal or less than 1136px, add this css code in the child theme’s style.css or the Quick CSS field.

This modification will also affect the columns and most elements in the page.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
