Hallo,
seit der Umstellung einer WordPress Site auf Hauptdomain und SSL zeigt das Theme Enfold eine weiße Seite im Frontend – Error 500. Das Backend wird angezeigt und ich kann dort alles machen. Das Frontend ist nicht erreichbar – Anfrage kann vom Server nicht beantwortet werden.
Mit einem Standardtheme funktioniert die Seite und wird angezeigt.
Die Einstellungen in WordPress sind vorgenommen, Pfade in der Datenbank angepasst, Permalinks gespeichert. Plugins wurden deaktiviert und wieder aktiviert, das Theme wurde gewechselt, dabei zeigte sich, dass das Theme Enfold streikt. Ich habe viele Einträge zu dem Problem gelesen, aber keine Lösung gefunden.
Ich wurde vor kurzem erst zu Hilfe gerufen für die Website. Plugins und WP sind nicht topaktuell. Ich wollte zuerst den Wechsel von Sub- auf Hauptdomain und SSL bewerkstelligen.

since the conversion of a WordPress site to maindomain and SSL, the Theme Enfold shows a white page in frontend – Error 500. The backend is displayed and I can do everything there. The frontend is not available – request can not be answered by the server.
With a standard theme the page works and is displayed.
The settings in WordPress are correct, paths in the database adjusted, permalinks saved. Plugins have been disabled and re-enabled, the theme has been changed, showing that the theme Enfold is on strike. I have read many entries about the problem but have not found a solution.
I was recently called to the website for assistance. Plugins and WP are not up to date. I first wanted to switch from subdomain to maindomain and SSL.

Could you please deleting Enfold theme folder completely and then try installing once again via FTP – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/install-enfold-theme-with-ftp/? If you would like us to update it for you, please post FTP and WP admin logins here privately.

I completely deleted the theme folder twice via FTP and uploaded the current theme folder via FTP. Unfortunately, it has not brought a solution. The page runs under a standard theme. If I activate Theme Enfold, the browser stays white resp. Gives the message “Request could not be processed”.
Please could you look at this? The site has been down for three days and should be back online soon because it’s important for the business.

nach vielem Suchen und verschiedenen Maßnahmen habe ich den Fehler nun gefunden. Sie können das Ticket schließen.
Der Fehler wurde durch eine zweite und modifizierte Datei functions-enfold.php erzeugt, die von einem schlauen Mitarbeiter noch dazu in einem ungeeigneten Ordner außerhalb des Themes abgelegt war. Ein Child Theme ist nicht im Einsatz. Ja, so dumm kann es laufen.After much searching and various measures, I have now found the error. You can close the ticket.
The error was generated by a second and modified file functions-enfold.php, which was also stored by a clever employee in an inappropriate folder outside the theme. A child theme is not in use. Yes, it can be so stupid.
