    Hi, Love the template!
I too had the 500 error and it still persisted even after I upgraded my Godaddy VPS to PHP 7.0
. However I used your recommended header.php code which got my site up and running. However I have this little rogue gremlin code just above my logo which I assume is at the beginning of the <body>. I see this at the very top of the page:
    " />
Can you help me track it down? It’s occurred in both my development site and my clients site.
    Thank you, Rob

    Hey musicplaceonline,

Have you been able to check the Header.php file to see if it is coming from there?

    Best regards,

    Hi Jordan,
Yes, of course I have..that’s why I’m contacting support. Unfortunately my client picked the theme without realising that before installing the Enfold theme there seems to be workaround hack to get rid of the 500 error.

My PHP is up to date but I still get the 500 error, hence I have to used your header.php hack to finally see the site using Enfold. I’ve looked through the header.php and can’t see anything incorrect but then I’m not the best coder – that’s why I purchased your theme.

I’ve installed the latest version of WordPress several times and installed Enfold the same amount of times – all with the same 500 error result. And I still haven’t seen a FIX to that problem other than hacking in a new header.php. I know the 500 error can cover a range of issues but it appears that it is related to PHP incompatibility.

Please look into my request as I did purchase the theme. I need support not direction. I’m under pressure to deliver and chasing down this rogue code is getting annoying.

    Thank you, Rob

    Hi,

Apologies for the delay but somethings we must ask the customer to do beforehand before logging in. One last request is to please disable all active plugin to see if this issue resolves.

    Best regards,

    Hi Jordan,
I rebuilt my server and php7 is configured properly now. I’ve uploaded the original header.php and all’s good. I don’t have to go down the rabbit hole chasing that rogue code anymore.

Apologies for being a bit cross and impatient – I was in full panic mode trying to sort out 20 last minute gremlins. Yes, of course you need to ask the prelim questions – I just wanted the magic solution. 🤣
The pressure is off, the client is very happy and the site is launching today. I’m hunting a bottle of scotch now.

    ✌️,
    Rob
