    Hi all,

Trying the have my blog page just show excerpts of my single posts with “read more” links at the end but for some reason it shows the full posts. I swear I had it only showing excerpts at some point but somewhere along the way that disappeared. I deactivated all plugins and that didn’t seem to be the issue. Manually added an excerpt in the “excerpt” field but that didn’t work. I’m using the default post editor because I was having problems with Avia Layout Builder and read on here that you have to use default editor for posts. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts: https://linseedstudio.com/blog/

    Thanks!

    Hey Linseed_Studio,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

Did you set the page as blog in the Enfold > Theme Options? It should automatically display the excerpt instead of the full content. Please reset the options in the Settings > Reading panel to default.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

Yes – I’m using the Enfold Child Theme and have the blog page set to “Blog”. I’m pretty sure all of the settings in the “Reading” panel are set to default.

    Hi,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi Linseed_Studio,

No worries, thanks for giving us admin access :)
We have modified “Blog Layout” from Single Author, big preview Pic (no author picture is displayed, feature image is big) to Use the advance layout editor to build your own blog layout (simply edit the page you have chosen in Enfold->Theme Options as a blog page)
Then in the Blog page, we have added the blogpost and set Blog Style to: Single Author, big preview Pic (no author picture is displayed, feature image is big) and Blog Content Length to Excerpt with Read More Link and setup the Sidebar Settings.
Let us know if this helps and if you need further assistance :)

    Best regards,
    Nikko

Hello, i am having a similar issue on my website. But the issue is on author page not the post page. All the posts by the author are displayed in whole on the page one after another. Can you please guide me what to do here.
