I purchased a new license for Enfold today. The install was successful, but the following message appears when trying to view the site.

Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in ……../wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6

    Hey webdevmt,
Typically this is due to a older PHP version being used by your webhost, I see you are using PHP v5.3.29. Please ask them to update your PHP version to v7
Another solution could be to replace your header.php with this one.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Upgrading the PHP version did not work, but using the header.php you provided along with the PHP 7.1 did.

Thanks for resolving this for me in such a short period of time.
