    Hey there,

on some sites this code did not work in a codeblock or in a textfield:

    Deactivate Google Analytics
    <a href="gaOptout()">Deactivate Google Analytics</a>

    after saving it turns to:

    Deactivate Google Analytics
    <a>Deactivate Google Analytics</a>

    example below

    Hey volmering,

Have you attempted to add this via functions.php?

    ?????????

    hey basilis,

i know how to create an opt out!

i want to know why enfolds textblock or codeblock did not work in this case.

    #942631

    Hi,

Please refer to the following link. It is the same as what Basilis posted above, but id you scroll down, It shows both an option to add the code to functions.php as well as how to use Yoast to add it if you happen to have that plugin installed.

a big thank you to you too shannon for the alternate solution (i already known of).

but is it perhaps, just perhaps, possible to answer my initial question or not?

thank you very very very much.

    #942694

    Hi,

The original question being why the link changes on the front-end? I’m asking if it still changes if added via the alternate methods.

    Best regards,
    Jordan Shannon

    #942699

    the initial question is:

on some of my enfold sites (BACKEND) i put following code in a textfield or codeblock:

    <a href="gaOptout()">Deactivate Google Analytics</a>

this code (in the BACKEND) changes after saving to

    <a>Deactivate Google Analytics</a>

the result in the frontend is, that the text is not clickable.

you can see an example below (private data)

    Hi,

    We replied it.
You need to create a shortcode for that function to work anywhere else inside ALB.

sorry mabe my englisch is to bad or i am just a stupid idiot. sorry for that.

    #944379

    Hi,

We are very sorry for the confusion. We’ve added the opt out code successfully in the “Privacy Policy” page. We’re not sure why it stripped out the javascript function when you tried it.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

hi ismael, thank you. never mind. its not easy to explain those things in a foreign language.

can u do me a favor now?
when u go to the german privacy police (same website, link below, there is the code include a textfield), and change just a bit in the texfield. do u see that the script strip out again?

when i put a text, with the small java-code the first time in a textfield and save – it works. when i open it and have a simple textchange. the code with the java always strip out. this happens on all my enfold-pages.

    #945250

    Hi,

Thank you for the update. Where can we find the script? Please create a test page so that we can could check it. I couldn’t find it in the german version of the privacy policy.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Guys,

I created a testpage to show you what I mean. I worked out an example to show you what grinds my gears.

    test.wordpress-design.info.w013f8da.kasserver.com/datenschutzerklaerung

The problem is, everytime I save my actual site, the java-code gets lost. You can’t click the link.
FInd the login-Data below, maybe you can fix the problem.

    Best regards :)

    Hi volmering,

Here is a thread for you to consider
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/disable-analytics-on-certain-pages/

Maybe that plugin can work for you better?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi,

The latest version (4.4) of the theme contains GDPR compliance features so you may want to update ASAP. You can read more on it here.

    // https://kriesi.at/archives/enfold-4-4-and-the-gdpr-general-data-protection-regulation

Now, instead of adding the opt out code manually, you’ll have new options in the Enfold > Cookie Consent panel.

[av_privacy_google_tracking] – allows a user to disable google tracking in his or her browser
[av_privacy_google_webfonts] – allows a user to disable the use of google webfonts in his or her browser
[av_privacy_google_maps] – allows a user to disable the use of google maps in his or her browser
[av_privacy_video_embeds] – allows a user to disable video embeds in his or her browser
[av_privacy_link] – displays a link to the privacy policy page set in your WordPress admin panel

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    hey ismael,

thx for your info. i tried the new Cookie consent on an other page.

I appreciate this new feature and the option with the shortcodes. unfortunally most of my customers want a cookie solution like the borlabs cookie. with an opt in function. cause the new law is still a pending thing.

to be honest. here and then i got some problems in this forum – but im still the biggest fan of enfold and the support here. i dont know any other theme, what brings up needfull things in that short time and a support forum like this :-)

so i hope the opt in comes too :-)

in this moment you can close this. thanks a lot
