I’m trying to display a small, styled (colored) map inside of the footer.

There is an “Enfold Google Maps Widget” but that doesn’t allow changing the styles.
There is also an Avia “Google Map” component. I tried extracting its shortcode and putting that in a footer, but the map is always displayed outside of the widget. In fact, the HTML is inserted at the same level as header and div#main.

I know I could just use an iFrame to include the map, but I’d prefer to use the widget.

Is there any way to style the Maps Widget or to fix the maps position?

    Hey appixag,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

Please provide the login details in the private field. We would like to check the widgets. How did you add the map below the footer container?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Hi Ismael, thanks for the response.

    I’ve added the login details.

The map below the footer is actually a shortcode (created on and copied from the contact page) in the widget “Footer – column 4”.

To copy the shortcode I enabled “avia_builder_mode” in a child theme, which displays a textfield with all shortcodes generated by the Avia Layout Architect..

Let me know if you need any more info.

    Hi,

I’m very sorry for the late response. The login credentials are not working. Please try to wrap the map inside a single column. Example in private.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Adding the column fixed the problem, thanks! I wouldn’t have thought of that.

    Hi Rikard

My issue is fixed, you can close the topic.

For anyone else with a similar problem: Wrapping the shortcode in [av_one_full first]...[/av_one_full] solved it.
