    Hi,
I have purchased two licenses so far for two separate websites. I want both to update the Enfold themes for both via WordPress which requires me adding my Themeforest user and API key.
My question is this – do I need to generate a new API for each website, or can I use the same one?
    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

I would recommend that you keep a note of the API key for each site you purchase the theme for, if you use the same key then you might have problems updating in the future. I know it’s not the best system, but that’s the way Envato have designed it. We don’t have any control over that unfortunately.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
So do you mean create a new API key for each site? That’s fine, I can do that.
I need to purchase 2 more licenses soon, so I will have 4 Enfold sites in total. I will generate a new API key for each site in Envato and assign each a label that corresponds with the site name – is that what you think will work best?
    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi,

Yes, that is correct, it is always a good approach to have multiple API keys in case one of the API fails you do not have to face an issue on all the sites.

    Best regards,
    Vinay
