I’ve just updated from 3.5something to 4.2.6. Since automatic updates didn’t work I had to update manually. To do so I unzipped the new theme package into the theme folder.

Site became unavailable (frontend and backend) and is giving this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare av_countdown_events_fallback() (previously declared in /PATH/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown.php:10) in /PATH/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/events_countdown.php on line 12

I fixed it temporarily by deleting the entire folder: /avia-shortcodes/

Obviously future updates might bring this folder back. How can I fix the error mentioned above?

    Hey RalfSkirr,

Can you update your theme again and if the error shows up, please only remove this file: /enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown.php
not the entire avia-shortcodes folder. It shouldn’t be showing anymore in the future release of Enfold since it has moved to /enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/events_countdown.php

    Best regards,
    Nikko

I have just update the theme and have the same problem with the latest version from 2020.
Fatal error and I don’t know how to solve.

    error details

    wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/events_countdown.php:16)

Even upadte again and then remove the file events_countdown.php not solve the problem.
How can I fix this error?

    Hi merlijn,

    I can’t access your site:

Er heeft zich een kritische fout voorgedaan op je website. Controleer je postvak-in van je beheer-e-mailadres voor instructies.

Please try to completely delete the theme folder via FTP, then upload it again manually in the same place to see if that helps.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
I have deleted the enfold folder via FTP and opload again via FTP it didnt solve the problem. It was strange I get a few messages if I will overrule an existed file but I deleted the full Enfold folder!!!
Tried 3 times via FTP removed the full enfold folder. Website still not working.
Removed again and I installed enfold via wordpress dashboard.
It works! The website is working!
    Thank you!
