    Hi,
I need some help. Earlier today I updated my wordpress to the newest version. I just finished my latest blog post and wanted to share it but I’m unable to do so because all of my social media icons are gone…? Not sure how that happened – everything was working fine prior to the updated. Is there a solution to this issue and if so, what are the steps I need to follow?

    Thank you!

    Hey Freedomc,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hello,
Please see below. Just to clarify: I have selected 3 icons to show under each blog post: email, pinterest and facebook, and I share on all three after I’ done writing a post. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thank you so much for your help!

    Hi,

Thanks for the login details. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.2.6) to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

If that doesn’t work then please point out the blog post you are having this problem on.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi, I see that my theme needs to be updated. Where is my API listed under. I can’t remember how to get it

    #929848

    Where is the AKI key?

    #929886

    Hey!

Please see “Update through WordPress” section here – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and generate an API key.

    Regards,
    Yigit

Alright so I generated the API key, I entered it and saved the changes. My current Theme Version Number is 4.1.2. Do I have to wait 12 hours before I find out if that is my issue? Thanks

    Hi,

The current version of the theme is 4.2.6

    • Login to WordPress and click on Dashboard > Update
    • Click on the Check Again button in the update page.
    • If any theme updates are available WordPress will display the list of themes below.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

It’s been updated and the icons are still missing. What’s the next step? It’s been 3 full days and I’m still waiting to get this resolved. Can someone please take a look at it and perhaps figure it out? Thanks

    Hi,

Are you referring to the sharing section? They’re not going to display automatically if you switch to the advance layout builder. Luckily, the sharing section is available as an element so you can add it manually. You can find it under the Content Elements panel.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

How did I switch to the advance layout builder – I’m not exactly sure as all I did was update wordress exactly a week ago.

I used to be able to share my blog post – the social media icons were listed underneath each post. Somehow that changed last Sunday. What steps do I need to follow to have that resolved. Your post states that I can add them manually – how do I do that? I want to be able to see my social media icons underneath each blog post (like I used to). Thanks,
