After updating to 4.2.6 was seeing this:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/prevision/webapps/pre3d9_14/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6

I read in the forum about the PHP version requirements and we upgraded from 5.4 to 7.0.28.

Now the home page loads – all others not found.

    Any thoughts are welcome.

    Thank you,

    Hey Tom,
Have you tried to update your header.php with this one?
If so, can you please provide your admin login and ftp, in the private content area so we can take a closer look.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
I believe the issue is with your webhost, possibility with changing your PHP version, because your site is unable to show simple html pages such as the readme.html file which doesn’t use wordpress to render and should always work.
Please contact your webhost and ask them to look into this.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Somehow the .htaccess file was malformed and that fixed it. Did your people touch this while in there?

    Hi,
no, I was looking at the header.php and then tested the html file when I kept getting the 500 error.
Glad that you got it working though, shall we close this then?

    Best regards,
    Mike
