I am experiencing that videos do not load if I place them in the default wordpress media library and paste the direct file link in the cover section video reference. It works fine with Youtube and Vimeo, but because the video has different dimensions than 16:9 and 4:3 and therefore get a back margin if uploaded to Youtube and Video, it is not a good solution for the purpose. What can I do?

    Hey Thomas,

Is margin the only issue you are facing? In that case, you need to render the video again in the correct aspect ration which can take quite some time. An alternate solution would be to upload to YouTube and download the high-quality video and upload it to your site again.

Please try this and let us know if you have any questions.

    Hi Vinay,

So far yes, well mainly that the video doesen’t load when I upload to my server and feed it directly (thus, also remove the hurdle of poor internet connection with visitor and the feed from Youtube). That point is, that the video is specifically made in a 27:9 format to fit ideally in as a cover. So it is not possible for me to re-render in a 16:9 format or 4:3, as it is not the design.

Can you make it possible for the video feeder in e.g. the edge-to-edge color section to be able to feed videos that are stored in the WordPress media library (it’s odd that it can’t)?

I see that you’re using youtube now and it looks quite good. Are you satisfied with the result? The 27:9 format is not standard and unnecessary because the theme will automatically resize the video so that it covers the entire container.

No, it dosen’t look good if you change the resolution of the screen. On larger screen I experience that the black top and bottom on the Youtube format is visible and that is not the intention (it looks awful). If you look at how this website does you might understand what I seek: https://suitabletech.com – The video is somehow embedded directly from their library.

    Hi,

Can you please increase the size of your video frames?
