Dear Sir/Madam,
Today I wanted to change one small thing in my layer slider. When I was ready to save I received the following error:
“It seems there is a server issue that prevented LayerSlider from saving your work. Please check LayerSlider -> System Status for potential errors, try to temporarily disable themes/plugins to rule out incompatibility issues or contact your hosting provider to resolve server configuration problems. Your HTTP server thrown the following error: \n\n Internal Server Error”
I tried numerous things:
– Update Layerslider
– Update WordPress
– Update all other plugins
– Deactivate all plugins
– Contact my hosting party (no errors at their end; the ajax-admin is not blocked)My slider on one page is gone now. If I change it for another slider this one will appear but not he one I need. I cant choose the other slider and change the slides since I cant save the sliders anymore.
Do you have any idea what the problem could be and how to fix it?
Best Regards,
Boy
March 7, 2018 at 4:41 am #922714Hey bloomfashion,
Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.2.6) to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
RikardMarch 7, 2018 at 2:46 pm #923034Hi Rikard,
Within the theme update panel I see this message: “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.1.2)”
Why don’t I see any new updates appearing? My Your Themeforest User Name and Your Themeforest API Key are filled.
Best Regards,
Boy
March 7, 2018 at 2:57 pm #923044Hi,
Please try this plugin to clear WordPress transients if you do not receive auto updates and make sure your API key is correct: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.
If it does not help, I am afraid you might need to update the theme manually – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Unfortunately not all Server environments are able to make use of the auto update feature provided by ThemeForest.
Also, please make sure that your PHP version is minimum 5.6

YigitMarch 7, 2018 at 3:26 pm #923076Hi Yigit,
I already had the WordPress transients plugin installed. I just manually updated the theme. However, I still see: “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.1.2)”. Also my Slider is not back yet.

Boy
March 8, 2018 at 5:53 am #923555Hi Boy,
It’s not possible to receive automatic updates on all server environments like Yigit pointed out, did you try to update manually? You will find instructions on how to do that in the links Yigit posted.

Thanks for giving us the admin and ftp access, I checked your site and I don’t see any errors related to layerslider or enfold when I turned on debug, can you tell us what’s the name of the layerslider that you’re having issues, so we can check it.
As for updating it to 4.2.6, I’m not really sure why it’s not showing the latest theme update, can you update it via ftp, you should see the instructions here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

NikkoMarch 8, 2018 at 2:30 pm #923891Hi Nikko,
When you click on any layer slider and try to save anything you would see a error message.
As for the theme update. I already updated via ftp yesterday.

Boy

BasilisMarch 9, 2018 at 11:17 am #924402Hi Basilis,
I just checked with my hosting party and they said it can’t be the limit since it is on 2000 MB.
Furthermore, i can’t seem to grasp why my theme wont update. I tried manual upload via ftp but it keeps saying: No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.1.2)”.
Hope you can help me.

Boy

I did the debug.log and received this error message:
[08-Mar-2018 11:48:15 UTC] PHP Deprecated: mysql_connect(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in /home/easyshoo/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1562
Any ideas?

March 12, 2018 at 5:50 pm #925631Hi,
I have updated it to the latest version of Enfold (4.2.6) and layerslider works fine now. Let us know if you experience any issues. The old enfold file you used is moved to the wp-content’s folder, and I renamed it to enfold412. Hope it’s all good. :)

NikkoJuly 5, 2020 at 9:56 pm #1228093Hi
I have exactly the same problem as the user in this thread
– I get the same error message
– I cant’ save a layer slider
– My latest version of Enfold is 4.2.5
– I can’t update manuallyIt’s a ‘new’ problem, since I have been able to save layer sliders before.
Can you please help?
Best regards
HanneJuly 6, 2020 at 12:18 am #1228118It was apparently only when I was editing an old layer slider.
I solved the problem by creating a new, and it saves it fine.
