    I’m trying to add a read more button under a longer text on my about page.
    I understand that is only possible in posts at least without installing any plugins??

    So i went ahead and installed the recommended plugin: WP-ShowHide
    As you can see in the link to the page It only works on the first text
    If i open the read more item under the second pic the text under the first pic opens

    It seems like a pretty basic feature am i missing something obvious here ?

    Hey klaustrophobia,

    Are you using the Blog Posts element? If so then you can set that in the element options, look for the Blog Content length option.

    Ok That did work only that the hidden text then opens in a new window as a blog post.
    I just want the hidden text to appear on clicking the readmore button without changing page linking to blog post etc…

    Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)
