Grid Layout Excerpt Length

I have read and followed the instructions on https://kriesi.at/support/topic/grid-layout-excerpt-length/

I created the directory and changed line 399, from 60 to 240 in both the shortcuts folder and the postslider.php in the avia-shortcodes folder

Neither has made any change to the length
