    Hi!

    For a gaming website we would like to use the excerpt function or custom fields to display some information in the easy slider, under the title.

    We are currently (ab)using the excerpt function to display publisher and year info for games, because the excerpt can also used in a blog overview page. This same info needs to show up in the easy slider, under the Caption Title. Can you tell me what templates I need to copy to my child theme and where I need to put in the code for the excerpt or custom fields?

    Hey Daniel,

    Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)

    Hi Basilis, thanks for your reply. I’m not asking you to do the customization, I’m asking to point me into the right direction. For example, in this thread https://kriesi.at/support/topic/adding-custom-fields/ I tried to get more information, but the loop-index.php doesn’t contain echo $title anymore.

    Can you help me with that? Thanks

    Hi,

    You can refer on this post: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/add-new-or-replace-advanced-layout-builder-elements-from-child-theme/
    After doing what is instructed in the post, copy slideshow.php found in enfold > config-templatebuilder > avia-shortcodes and paste it in the shortcodes folder of your child theme and modify it. Hope this helps :)
