    Hello,

I woke up this morning and found the main slider on our home page not working… and I am not sure why. Two days ago, it was working and I haven’t added any new plugins or made any changes to the home page. My site wasn’t updated to the just-released latest version of WordPress yet, so that wasn’t the cause. I did update to see if that would fix it and it didn’t. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    brian

    Hey getmebrian,

You are getting a couple of error messages on the page, I’m not sure what they are related to though. Could you try deactivating all plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

Deactivating all plugins does no resolve the problem. I tried them one by one and then deactivated all and the issue persists.

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the feedback, I tried logging in but the details don’t seem to work. Could you check and verify please?

Also, are we allowed to disable plugins in order to debug? The error message I’m seeing on the front page is coming from an API call to the URL in private, does that mean anything to you?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Thanks, I had to reset the password…and spaced letting you know. Login details added in private.

The NGPVAN API call writes from the home page form to the NGPVAN EveryAction CRM database. We have been using this call with no changes to its code for about 14 months without issue until a few days ago. The form is still rendering

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for that, I can log in now. Though it’s hard for us to debug third party code which is throwing the error in this instance. Would you be able to contact the people providing this code to see if they can see what is going wrong please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

I tested to see if it was the code block with the Everyaction API call and that does not appear to be the issue. Feel free to test it yourself by temporarily removing the code block from the page and updating. The slider is still missing.

    Thanks,

    Brian

    Hi,
The issue was your custom menu item “2018 LEGISLATION TRACKER”
it is a google docs link with “edit#gid=0” at the end which was causing a error in jquery.js
I removed the “edit#gid=0” and now your page loads without error and the slider works.
Please check and correct your link so it works correctly.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
Thank you for the kind words, we are glad to help sort it out. Unless there is anything we can assist with shall we close this then?
If you feel so inclined, sharing a review on Theme Forest would be very nice.

    Best regards,
    Mike
