Following up on the discussion on this thread (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/google-adwords-conversion-tracking-code-2/).

I am trying to use AdWords conversion tracking that will log when a visitor clicks a button on our website that will take them to an external site (for event registration). I need help figuring out how to attach the gtag report conversion function to the button.

So far I have set up the conversion in AdWords and added the global site tag and the event snippet to the head.

    Hey kramdeninst!

    Thank you for the info.

We also need access to the gmail account. Please provide the secret key or info because gmail won’t allow us to access the email without it.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

I am afraid we are not able to do a lot from our side then.
It is better to get some premium assistance, but hiring someone to help you out.

    Best regards,

I’ve included the gmail/adwords credentials in the private section. Let me know if there is anything else you need.

    Hi,

With which element you need to mark the events?
is it a button, a link and which one inside the page?

    Best regards,

We are looking at tracking clicks on a button (or buttons). For now, we can work on the purple one labeled ‘April 2-6’ under the header ‘Drone Flight’. It will link to an external site for event registration (URL in private message).

Thanks for your help with this.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)

    Best regards,
    Basilis
