Hi
I tried uploading the new update via FTP and the site crashed and I had no access to WP admin – I had a error 500 notice. So I disabled the Enfold theme via FTP and the default WP theme restored everything. I disabled all plugins and tried uploading a new version of Enfold 4.2.1 and the same thing happened. I have now installed the older version of Enfold and that is working fine.
many thanks
Peter
Good to know. I was contemplating whether or not I should attempt this update.
I’m curious: why isn’t this showing up under the Enfold “Theme Update” area? Why do we have to make this update manually via FTP?
Hi,
Please, can you provide us your WP credentials?
Best regards,
John Torvik
Hi John
Login details below.
I have put back the older Enfold version now.
many thanks

Hi Peter,
The link you gave is not working. Is the link wrong or the website still down?
Can you please check server log for error? Which version of php are you running?
Best regards,
Victoria
Hi Victoria
It should be working now – there was an unrelated problem with the server.
many thanks
Peter
Hi,
I see you are using PHP Version: 5.4.45
Please ask your webhost to update to version 7
I also recommend disabling Wordfence when upgrading.
Best regards,
Mike
Hi Mike
I have asked the webhost to upgrade PHP and I’m waiting for a response.
Thanks
Peter
Hi Mike
The PHP has been upgraded and the Enfold update is working fine now. Many thanks for your help.
Peter
Hi Peter,
Glad it worked! Fix will be included in upcoming Enfold update.

Could you please try replacing public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/shortcode-parser.class.php file with this one – https://www.dropbox.com/s/ld5iiaivyaspw50/shortcode-parser.class.php?dl=0 via FTP and check if that helps?
