I have seen instructions re changing easy slider transition speed via shortcodes.js but cannot find the section on 2018 enfold pages. Can you tell me where to find the script to slow the transition speed?

Please take a look here
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/edit-shortcodes-js-in-child-theme/Where it also explains how yo use it and load it from a child theme.
Thank you

BasilisJanuary 21, 2018 at 12:00 pm #900335Whilst this link does indeed explain how to use the child theme to copy and edit the jsi file why is the required and also how do you create the child theme within enfold with soley a js file? Whilst I understand css and a little js I am struggling with the complexities of this wordpress setup
January 22, 2018 at 6:28 am #900624Hi,
Using a child theme is not really difficult, you can download a starter child theme here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/downloads/. The only job of a child theme is to override the parent, and if the child files are empty, like in the starter child theme, nothing will be overridden.

Again, whilst I do like the facilities offered within enfold some of the ways to change things are very complicated!
January 23, 2018 at 8:27 am #901269Hi madmanbean,
If you put it in the parent theme, the changes will be lost, when the next version of Enfold comes out.
If all this seems to be very complex, you can always hire a freelancer to do it for you.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
VictoriaJanuary 23, 2018 at 11:24 am #901376Having been designing websites for some 18 years I am familiar with all aspects of web design. What is irritating is the way that edits have to be done in a variety of, often convoluted, ways with a massive amount of css duplication and cascading css. In this instance of editing the js file I have yet to have anyone explain to me why this particular part of the script cannot be seen in the main shortcodes.js file. I really do like what enfold have done with wordpress and this about my tenth enfold site but I guess you are tied to the basic layouts and wordpress setup.
January 25, 2018 at 6:42 am #902618Hi madmanbean,
I’m sorry, what is the question in the above reply?
The change you want to make can be made in the parent theme, but it will be lost with the next update.
I’m sure you understand that and this is why I am not clear what is the question above.Best regards,
VictoriaJanuary 25, 2018 at 10:07 am #902708At this present moment I do not intend to update this theme, especially as there is no child theme to save the settings. best just close this thread.
