Hi. My site has a problem, it was ok a few weeks ago but now when I try to add a post or edit a post or page I just get a spinning indicator and I cant even click “default editor” button to edit that way.
I notice that you are at 4.1 but my system is at 4.05 and when I click update it tells me that is the latest version. Could it be that if I upgrade to 4.1 my problem will be fixed ?
Many thanks

Yes, I would recommend an upgrade before any other fix.

How do I do that when the auto updater isn’t working, without losing anything ?
thanks
January 15, 2018 at 5:30 pm #897641Hi,
You are using a child theme therefore i am guessing if you made any changes on theme files (such as functions.php etc.), you made them on your child theme. If that is the case, you can go ahead and update the theme. Your content is saved on your database and is safe.
Please try this plugin to clear WordPress transients if you do not receive auto updates and make sure your API key is correct: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.
If it does not help, I am afraid you might need to update the theme manually – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Unfortunately not all Server environments are able to make use of the auto update feature provided by ThemeForest :/

Jordan ShannonJanuary 17, 2018 at 1:51 am #898255Hi Jordan
I managed to get the site updated to the lates enfold and I tried the plugin you suggested but the problem remains. If you log in and try to edit any page you just get a spinning iconJanuary 17, 2018 at 5:06 pm #898546Hi. My server provider installed the latest version of the theme for me but I still have the same problem. Clicking to edit a page I just get a spinning progress icon in the editing window using Avia Layout Builder and I cant even click the button to use the default editor so I am unable to make edits to the site. Also I cant see my media library or add media using the button. And my client is getting impatient and talking about changing to a new theme at my expense !
I have the same issue in various browsers. The site displays fine so I dont know how long this problem has existed, its probably a month since I did any work on it but of course a few updates will have happened behind the scenes.
Hope you can HELP )January 17, 2018 at 5:47 pm #898579Ive fixed my problem, it was a plugin conflict
