    I’ve added a video as a background in Advanced Layer Slider. I would prefer to not have the video loop. 1 cycle only.
    I’ve checked the appropriate settings in Slider Settings > slide show, but that does not change anything.
    Perhaps you have a solution?

    BTW, I’m still working on local host, so I can’t offer you a like to the site at this time (if you needed it).

    Thanks,

    Hey laptophobo,

    So you’re saying these settings do not work?

    Hi. Yes, I have the same settings:
    Cycles: 1
    Force number of cycles : on

    Within my Video Content I have this code:
    <video width=”640″ height=”360″ preload=”metadata” controls>
    <source src=”/hls/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/3dmentat150300426_preview.mp4″ type=”video/mp4″>
    </video>

    Hi laptophobo,

    We need to see the actual css and html to be able to propose a solution for you. Please get back to us when you get the website to some testing server.

    Best regards,

    Hi Victoria (happy new year),

    I have uploaded the site to my server, and have created Administrator privileges for you to get into the WordPress dashboard should you need to. There is only 1 layer slider at the moments, so it’s that one.
    In private content is your login info.
    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Have you tried using a vimeo video? You can set the loop parameter to false or 0.

    I haven’t tried Vimeo. My client doesn’t have an account with them yet. But if this is the best way to fix the problem, I can check into that option.
    Does the Advanced Layer Slider work the same way with Vimeo–meaning will I be able to keep the video looking like it is now (edge to edge with no control features?)

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,

    Yes, you can set the vimeo video as the slider’s background.

    It appears that if I’m to use viemo to handle the video, I’d have to upgrade to a paid account if I don’t want the ads to appear.

    So, do you know of another work around?

    Cheers,

    Hi laptophobo,

    I cannot check the website, but you should be able to get the video showing once with Layer Slider.

    Best regards,
    Victoria
