(Sorry, I have to do this since I can’t get a Kriesi account right now. Please forward to Yigit/Support.)

Before I buy our own license for Enfold, please confirm that, without affecting our current Enfold installation, we could purchase Enfold and change the ownership of our current Enfold from the original purchaser to us? We don’t want to affect our current Enfold install.

    Thank you!

    Hi Vicki,

No worries at all, however you can click the link from your email and reply to your existing thread :)

I checked your website and you are using UberMenu, Would you like to continue using UberMenu? If so, issue should be fixed on their end. If you would like to use Enfold’s native menu but having issues on mobile, updating the theme should helped because we have fixed those issues already.

I see that you are using a child theme, so the changes you made on theme files will not be overwritten. Mobile menu was completely renewed and got replaced by a new one. If you have made changes on header.php or includes/helper-main-menu.php files, you are going to reapply those changes as these files were changed.

To be on the safe side, we would recommend you to update the theme on a testing installation first.

I hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other questions!

    Cheers!

    Hi Yigit,

(…thought I had to log in to ‘reply’! Thanks a bunch for answering my questions.)

I inherited Ubermenu, – there is a bunch of styling of the main menu that I’d have to change if I stopped using it, so I hadn’t done that. If I HAVE to do that to fix the problems, I’ll do that.

I haven’t changed anything in parent Enfold, neither my predecessor. — So I should be able to just purchase a new Enfold and replace the info in the Username and API key fields?

We’re on WP Engine, so have a Staging server, can try things there first.

    Thank you! Vicki

    Hi Vicky,

Yes, you should be able to simply replace the old details with the ones from your new license. If you should have any problems then let us know and we’ll help you out.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Ok! Purchased new license, was able to change WordPress theme info to our Username and API key on the Staging server. Installed Transient Cleaner plugin, and was then able to do auto update of Enfold to the latest version. (BTW the license is in acct I set up for the org, not my acct, see below.) Yay!

BUT now we’re back to having the same problem again, where the mobile menu is messed up (screenshot attached, or just look at website). Is this due to UberMenu? Or something else?

I inherited this Enfold and UberMenu, – the main menu is set up to use it, a hassle to undo it all so I haven’t done that. — Just noticed that I can’t attach screenshot. Please look at mobile view of the Staging server, url is below. The main menu is messed up.

    thanks!

    Hi Vicki,

    Thanks for the information.

Could you please post WP admin logins for both staging and live site so we can login and compare the differences? FTP access would help as well, in case we need to edit theme files.

As for screenshots, you can upload them on imgur.com or Dropbox public folder and post the links here :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

I’ve disabled UberMenu on Staging right now. The mobile menu works with it disabled!

Here’s the screenshot when UberMenu is not disabled: https://photos.app.goo.gl/R9LmcUHmCKmWqmP63

    Other info below. Thanks!

Another thing that the newer Enfold does is put an additional Search (magnifying glass) in the header, on top of the logo. It should only be to the right of the main menu. I think this was going on before, it’s ok on Live. But I won’t do anything right now in case you’re in there.

But even with the Staging mobile menu behaving ok without UberMenu, the header area is still messy.

    thanks again! vicki

    Hi Vicki,

Sorry i did not ask before, i thought you were already registered and logged in. For validation, could you please register to our support forum – https://kriesi.at/support/register/, login and then reply to this thread? :)

FTP logins would help in case we are going to need to modify theme files to integrate UberMenu.

    Regards,
    Yigit

I received an email that I’d gotten an answer today, but there is no answer here? Is all ok? Has there been any mix-up due to the log-in situation?
    Thanks! vicki
