    Shortcodes in Excerpts

    I have custom post types with dates. They are applied via shortcode. I have added the shortcodes in the excerpt part of my custom post.
    They appear in the excerpts perfectly when they are in the “category” page
    website/category/madrid/
    EG:
    Madrid Pride
    From: Friday, Jun 29th, 2018 – To: Saturday, Jul 7th, 2018

    However when the excerpt is pulled onto a standalone page the shortcode doesn’t display the content,
    just the shotcode code.

    Madrid Pride
    From: [ecpt_field id=”eventstartdate”] – To: [ecpt_field id=”eventenddate”]

    Any ideas on why this might be or what I might have to add to display the shortcode?

    Hey roamingk,

    You need to hire a freelancer to accomplish this because you will need to change the CORE.
