Hi,
Really liking enfold, so thanks!
My question is……Is it possible to ANIMATE the text over a video background?
I want to have similar text effects to those that are in the Advanced Layer Slider.
But I want them to sit OVER a video that is the background of a colour section.
It currently doesnt look like its possible to drop the Advanced Layer slider onto a colour section?
Or am I going about it the wrong way?
Thanks in advance

Please, can you explain the “ANIMATE” that you said? May be we can accomplish that using a custom CSS code – please, to make the process faster, provide to us your website link and the WP credentials.
Best regards,

Thanks for your reply…..
I want to create the same effect as the “Enfold” & “The Best Rated Top Seller on Themeforrest” on your demo site – https://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold-overview
Enfold I would replace with “Great Leadership”
The Best Rated Top Seller on Themeforrest I replace with “Starts with Great Managers”I want to place this same Text Animation (Layer effect) over a Background Video on a Colour Section.
But I dont seem to be able to create the same effect with any of the standard Editor elements and the Advanced Layer Slider will not embed on the Colour Section
I am creating a test site on my own virtual server with MAMP for the time being, until I understand how Enfold will work to replace the Existing Theme on our current site listed below
I hope that makes sense?
Please let me know if you need further clarification and thanks in advance for your help!Cheers, CBurgo

You don’t need to put Layer Slider in the color section. You can put it straight to the page. And actually I think it’s possible to add the slider to the color section, but like I said, no need for that.
I suggest you build the slider with the effect you want.

November 24, 2017 at 12:08 am #880977HI Victoria,
Thanks for your reply and assistance.
I’m not sure if my problem is related to the fact that I am building my site in MAMP first, but….
I dont seem to be able to add the Advanced Slider to the Colour Section. It just won’t drop there.
Also, when I simply add it to the PAGE, it embeds in the section BELOW the video background that I have set in the Colour Section whereas I want the text to appear over the top of the Video.
I can add a HEADLINE to sit over the video in the Colour Section, but I’d like the text to ANIMATE like it does in the Advanced Layer Slider.
Does that make sense?
Thanks,
CameronNovember 25, 2017 at 7:20 am #881501Hi,
That slider is full width, so you won’t be able to add it to a Color Section. Though if you really need the slider within the Color Section you could enable debug mode in order to see builder shortcodes: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/, you could then copy the slider shortcode into the Color Section.
Best regards,

I’ll give this a try.
If I enable debug in the MAIN Theme, will it be affected by updates? (I’m not using a child theme at the moment, because I dont intend on customising the theme)
Thanks again.
November 27, 2017 at 1:15 am #882066Hi Rikard,
The theme functions does not contain the line of code suggested in the article?
It says to insert the code AFTER if (isset($avia_config[‘use_child_theme_functions_only’])) return; if you’re not using a child theme, which im not, at this point.
but that line is not in the code anywhere.
The closest i can find is
if(isset($avia_config[‘header_settings’]) && $single_val && isset($avia_config[‘header_settings’][$single_val])) return $avia_config[‘header_settings’][$single_val];
if(isset($avia_config[‘header_settings’])Anyone have an update on where this would be inserted?
Thanks!November 27, 2017 at 12:10 pm #882177Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I would suggest that you use a child theme for any customisations, otherwise you will lose them on updates. You can download a basic child theme here: kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/downloads/
Best regards,
