    hello, we are getting closer.
ive disvovered that linking to another pic can not be done in the normal gallery, but CAN be done in the msaonry gallery.

now , the only two problems resting now is the layout.

most paintings have normal layout, dus lets say 70x50xm.
some are triptychs, but they can fit as the masonry is flexible.

but there is this one Seven Hatch which is causing the problem.

just like the tryptich i would like it to be fully shown between the thumbs, give the thing left and right the space its needing, and also fill it out on top and bottom, like this: http://jeelsites.nl/test_003/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/voorbeeld.jpg
but one way or another , this cant be done. can it? can i give the sevenhatch thumb the place its needing and dont loose the proportions?

    Hey jelle,

Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)

    Best regards,
    Basilis

    thanks, jelle vanhijfte

    Hi yampieters,

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

hello victoria, im working on a different solution now,

give whitespace by hand in adobe photoshop, so it will be part of the pic.
now i can put the whole thumb in view/ i can show the total of the paiting in a thumb, not only a part of it.

allthough im sorry to say , but i find a quite peculiar that its not possible in Enfold Gallery to show a NOT cut off version of a painting i a thumb..

if this dont work ill get back to you, thanks anyway

    Hi yampieters,

Actually, I find it peculiar too, normally masonry does not do that, it must be the image aspect ratios that are very different and in this case they get cropped.

How are Envira galleries working for you?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    hello victoria,
Envira an sich is oke, but unfortunately there was some conflicts with enfold.
never min, ive found a workaround by controlling my pics and their whitespace fot the thumbs in photoshop.
my client was oke with this. :) (in fact this is what / how he wanted it).
thanks anyway, and you can close this one!
